The doctor just left. They started his chemo now, and once its done we will get all our new home meds and head out of here. They are comfortable discharging him a day early and we are thrilled to be leaving here!!! We are very excited and looking forward to being home as a family again, all of us together, even if its only 16 days!

That being said, I look forward to not being hassled by nurses about parenting and getting rid of the nurse who told me that its super healthy for babies to cry (she didn't want to gown up and sit with him while I was in the shower is my opinion!)

So happy for you. It seems like everything is easier to cope with in your home with your own beds, and I know even Joey must feel more comfortable and secure at home.
Some nurses are wonderful people, but I think some of them burn out and turn into horrible old crones! Sorry you had to deal her her silly attitude when you had so much else on your plate.

We're home. It's one of the best feelings in the world to be together as a family right now. We go to clinic Thursday, then back to clinic Monday and Pulmonology Monday, Clinic again on Thursday, then we have clinic the next Wednesday and admitted to CHOC again the following day, August 6. They will be doing the final MRSA test this Thursday!!! So next time no isolation!

Seriously with everything you're going through to give you the "bad mommy" talk? I laugh when people mistake these people as professionals.
