How are things going?

How long have you been BFing?

Is your LO eating solids?

Any signs of weaning?

Bonus Question- do you use BFing as a comfort for your LO if he/she gets hurt?

How are things going?
OK, but could be better. I've just recovered from mastitis, at least the fevers and aches part. My left side is still really sore and painful to nurse from though, it makes my eyes water. I'm trying to figure out if the pain is due to a blocked duct, thrush or cracked skin where Ben has nipped me (or maybe all three), but it's all really confusing.

How long have you been BFing?
10 months.

Is your LO eating solids?
Yes, I actually weaned him relatively early, at about 4 and a half months old. Did it on the advice of my health visitor. It didn't (hasn't) caused us problems afaik, but if I had a second chance I'd probably wait until 6 months.

Any signs of weaning?

Nope. I don't think Ben has ever refused the booby. If he did I'd probably panic, take his temperature and rush him to the doctors!

Bonus Question- do you use BFing as a comfort for your LO if he/she gets hurt?
Yes. Even as a newborn, Ben has never been much comforted by being held, rocked, cuddled, etc. BF however, never fails to soothe him, so it is an invaluable tool for me.

How are things going? great although she wanted to nurse (and not just comfort nurse) all night last night; I can't remember the last time Tessa nursed that much overnight (Mommy had to have a Starbucks today)

How long have you been BFing? 19 months

Is your LO eating solids? yes although it's hit & miss what she'll eat or not; some days she eats solids well and the next barely touches them. Today, I could only get Tessa to eat string cheese, watermelon (she ate quite a bit of that) and BM; BM is still the only food she'll eat every time I offer it

Any signs of weaning?
no, not yet

Bonus Question- do you use BFing as a comfort for your LO if he/she gets hurt? yes, of course!

How are things going? my dd has been nursing like she's a newborn since about 19 months. Dr. Sears talks about the 18-24 month range being demanding like this. Truthfully, I'm looking forward to this stage ending because sometimes it's too much.

How long have you been BFing? 24 months tomorrow

Is your LO eating solids? Yes but I really had this dream she would be eating lots of different things on a regular basis by now. She isn't. I'm just really thankful to have breastmilk to fall back to.

Any signs of weaning? Nope.

Bonus Question- do you use BFing as a comfort for your LO if he/she gets hurt? Yep.

How are things going? Very well

How long have you been bf? Ian has been BF for almost 1 year now. Combined time bf'ing with the other two and Ian about 7 1/2 years so far. Wow I didnt really think of that until just now.

Is you LO eating solids? Yes Ian LOVES food.

Any sign of weaning? No and no intention to try for sometime yet.

Do you use bf'ing as a comfort if LO gets hurt? rarely, he usually wants to get right back to whatever he was doing.

Any signs of weaning? Nope, but when she is a gold medal gymnast, I can tell people she got her start while breastfeeding. She loves to stand up while sticking her but out and turning her head away from me to stare at her dad, sometimes she even bends her knees in rhythm for added effect

Bonus Question- do you use BFing as a comfort for your LO if he/she gets hurt?
Yes, of course!

How are things going? Brilliantly

How long have you been BFing? Soon 15 months! I always hoped that I'd make it past a year and am thrilled that things are still going well.

Is your LO eating solids? yes 2-3x a day.

Any signs of weaning? With that boob addict? She pins me down sometimes if I try to take the boob away prematurely so nope, no signs of weaning.

Bonus Question- do you use BFing as a comfort for your LO if he/she gets hurt? I usually pick her up and if she doesnt calm down in a minute or so I whip out a boob so yup. I figure mother nature created them so better get the most use out of them.
