So I had posted about tips to help Ava with the potty. But I decided not to push it at all and didn't really mention it to her again.
So today I hear her in Noah's room. They were both supposed to be napping, her on our bed, him in his crib. I go in there and she had woken him up. SHe had peed on the floor, which has been a thing for her lately. She cried if I tried to put her on the potty in the middle or right before when I could catch her. So I gave up, thinking she wasn't ready.
So anyways, I was a little aggravated that she had gotten out of bed, then woken her brother up, then peed on the floor. I just said, no pee pee on the floor. Go in the potty. Got a towel, cleaned it up. Put a new diaper on her. She was playing with Noah so I left the room for a few minutes. I hear a commotion in the room, go in there. There is a sliding door to the bathroom that we have a wooden baby gate blocking. She had climbed the baby gate. Sat on the potty. Pooped in the potty, and then used the potty to climb back over the gate!! I made a huge deal over it, so proud of her. She is proud of herself. She kept pointing to the potty and grinning. Going "did it" "did it". Yay for Ava!!
Now if I could get her to pee in the potty instead of my floor that would be great. LOL She just peed on the floor again.
I'm so proud of her. I've never really made a deal out of pooping on the potty or anything. She did this all on her own! What a big girl she is becoming. I just had to brag on my munchkin a little.
*thank you mom2*lauryn*jacob* for my adorable siggy!*
