My name is Syleena, Mom to Daemon (almost 3) And Mykaila who just turned 5 months.. Im wondering, I am kind of a mix of TP & AP but I lean more towards the AP side of things.. Heres my style...

I Breastfeed, Co-sleep, Room-share, Baby wear, Don't Circumsize, etc but then I fully vaccinate & use disposable diapers.. Can I join you?

Lets see I'll add up your score and see if you qualify.... just joking. If you want to join the board we love to have you

You write that you both cosleep and roomshare, how does that work? Do you cosleep half the time and roomshare the rest or do you cosleep with one kiddo and roomshare with the other? Just curious here.

Yer close with both guesses!! Mykaila is in her crib for usually half the night, and around 4 or 5am she comes into my bed... Derek (My hubby) Sleeps with Daemon every night all night.. (We started this because we were just trying to figure out a way for me and Mykaila to get as much sleep as possible when she first came home, So Derek was sleeping with Daemon, and I was sleeping with Mykaila Before I had Mykaila I slept with Daemon.. He'd fall asleep in his room and at about 2am he'd come crawling into my bed.. every now and then I hear him asking for Mummy in the middle of the night, and he comes crawling in with me and Mykaila if its early morning... lol.. We just do what ever lets us get sleep and keeps the kiddos Happy

Hi and welcome.
Lots of Ap mom's use cloth nappies and either dont vaccinate or use alternate schedules, but those things arent really part of AP, just common factors. What type of nappy you use and whether or not you vacinate are just side issues, and you are most welcome here

I was going to say this.... while it's common to find an AP mom who cloth diapers....or doesn't vaccinate/delays....it's not really in the description of AP parenting. Welcome...I'm kind of quiet usually in this group but I love the info and advice and insight these ladies have.

We aren't to give a baby milk, berries, or peanut butter. We are to introduce new foods one at a time. But it's OK to inject several viruses, bacteria, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol, animal serum, mercury, squalene and more into an 8 week old? I don't think so.
In order to be healthy it is an unfortunate fact that people must be allowed the opportunity to be ill. I trust my body and those of my children to work correctly against the relatively benign diseases they vax for, and do not trust the ingredients in the vaccinations.
Our choice to not vax isn't based in ignorance, poverty, conspiracy theory and rumor. It's research, common sense, fact and evidence based..something the medical community has largely forgot about.

Hi! Welcome to AP. You sound like me. I vaccinate and use sposies also I dont think it makes you any less AP. AP is all about following your babies cue's and using gentle techniques.

Please check out our welcome thread and introduce yourself in our stickie at the top if you haven't already.

I hope you will love it here. We have a great group of ladies. I love them all! Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions or issues or just want to chat!

Welcome! I've become more and more AP over the years, I started out just breastfeeding, part time co-sleeping (as child wants to), gentle discipline type stuff........then discovered baby wearing with my 5th child, discovered cloth diapers with the same child, used to fully vax and circ but now selective/delayed vax and no circ'ing. (my 1st 3 boys are, my 4th boy is not).

Anyway, I don't see AP as an all or nothing type thing I considered myself AP even before I started cloth diapering, babywearing, non circing and delaying vax even though at the time I didn't even know what AP was lol.
