Becoming a mother has added to the level of disgust I feel when I read this kind of stuff.

That is so sad. Words cannot express how outrageous that is. I hope he goes to jail and becomes someone's ***** and gets treated the same way he treated that little boy.

I don't know how anyone can harm a child who is so defenseless. I mean, throwing and kicking him? It makes me nauseous.

I will never forget one afternoon at the doctors office with Liam (getting breathing treatments), when he was about 5 months, and the nurse was in talking to us. She said she was sorry for the wait, but they had an emergency that morning. And proceeded to tell me (prolly illegally!) that a couple brought their 6 week old in for a follow-up on failure to gain weight. When they asked for her clothes to be removed, the parents baulked, saying they weren't sure why it was necessary, since she was just wearing light pants and a onsie. And the nurse explained why they weighed in just a clean, dry diaper. When the parents removed her clothing, the baby was black and blue with an obvious broken rib. I cried when the nurse told me. They had to get social workers there and the parents were arrested right in the doctors office. Apparently it had really shaken up the staff. But it still haunts me...thinking of who could hurt an itty bitty baby.

So sad.

That is horrible and disgusting. It always amazes me that humans can be that sick. And I cannot understand at all how a mother can live with an obviously abusive person (I'm 100% sure that was not his first instance of being violent). I don't care how much you love a person, you protect your children first.

I hate stories like that. You hear about abuse way too much in the news. Some people are just evil and disgusting!

My heart goes out to that little boy and every child that doesn't deserve to be abused. Just too sad for words.

I shouldn't have read that, but you warned me! That is horrific and just makes me so angry and so sad. And why does it always seem like it's the "mother's boyfriend", I'd like to smack that mother for having such poor judgement!

With all the injuries they listed that the little boy had, I can't hardly believe the boyfriend only threw him on a bed and he bounced on the floor...I bet he did more than that.

Makes me sick.
