Today is officially the last day of The Discipline Book discussion. However, as we stated in the "rules" we can continue discussion as long as someone wants. The post will still be there so feel free to add questions and comments. How is everyone doing with it?

The next book on the agenda is Unconditional Parenting: Moving from Rewards and Punishments to Love and Reason (9780743487481): Alfie Kohn: Books. Despite my plans to read ahead, I have not started this one yet but I have a request in at the library so I should have it waiting for me by the time I get back home on Thursday.

We have 6 weeks to read this book. After that, ashleyj88 gets to pick our next book. It would be helpful to have the pick a little bit early for those of us that like to read ahead.

Oh, I just saw that my local library has the DVD version of the Kohn book! I'm going to make my DH watch!

Still haven't finished the discipline book! But it's still sitting on my nightstand. lol

I've read Unconditional Parenting, so I look forward to that discussion. Maybe I'll use this time to finally finish the last one.

A DVD! That would be wonderful! I must look into this and see if I can get my DH to read it. I have not finished the discipline book either- just too busy right now! And I have to return it to the library, I could not renew it because someone else was waiting for it. Oh well, I will have to do better with the next one I guess!

Hopefully the next one will be more interesting and make us want to read it quickly! The Discipline Book was not exactly one you couldn't put down.
