Wake up a little before everyone else, have a cup of tea alone.

Boys wake up, hugs, cuddle together.

Make a fun breakfast, eat together at the table.

Fit a run in while DH cleans up the kitchen, house, dresses the boys.

All of us go for a walk on the trail near our house, play outside because it's a beautiful day!

Come in for lunch.

Play some more, then everyone gets to take a nap.

Go out for supper together.

Come home, play, cuddle, read books, go to bed.

PERFECT.

Last year we went to Disney World (I planned it perfectly for Mother's Day ). To me that is the perfect Mother's Day! (We miss Disney.....and vacation in general.)

Sleep all day long, DH makes a fabulous dinner, and then at night I have wine with chocolate in it (they have it in Belgium (sp)).

Wine with chocolate in it?? Mmmm!!!

My perfect mothers day:

The previous night DH takes the early shift with the baby, only waking me around 5 or so to nurse her. Then in the AM he gets up with her and lets me sleep in- and makes me breakfast in bed while I sleep.

I wake up, we eat together in bed, and then pack up and head for a day at the park. Or part of a day. Go out to lunch.

Come home for naps.

Eat a yummy supper on my favorite take out.

Take a stroll after supper.

Baby goes to bed early, DH and I watch a movie on the couch together.

What will probably happen? Nothing, maybe a card from DH, perhaps flowers. :-)

I'm sure that absolutely nothing out of the ordinary will happen. It would not occur to DH to do anything.

I suppose in an ideal world I'd like Juliana to sleep in until at least 9 am or DH to take her and let me sleep in. Then we'd have a beautiful day so we could spend lots of time together outside as a family. Maybe we'd go on a picnic. That sounds very nice. Then I would like to have a little bit of "me" time just long enough to work out.

If I want to do anything I had better plan it. lol. In a perfect world I wouldn't have to plan anything. DH would let me sleep in and will bring me breakfast in bed. I wouldn't have to do a single diaper change all day. We would go do something fun as a family and eat dinner out.

Right now I'm trying to convince DH to day trip to the beach (it's a little under 2 hours away) and eat dinner out. The temps should be in the upper 70s which is perfect for a few hours of playing in the sand, walking to get ice cream at the pier, etc!

Seriously?
I'm at the point where if my husband could spend 1 flipping day not just lying around and making a mess for me to clean I will be happy.

I want to spend that Sunday in, having a big breakfast, make-your-own sandwiches for lunch, and DH grilling burgers in the evening. I really hope it's sunny too, so we can open up all the blinds.

I'm gonna ask my mom if we can celebrate her mother's day on Saturday. We're painting her living room for her present.
