Anyone else having their lo's fat folds get really red and cracked? I did some reading and it sounds like really keeping an eye on them, keeping them dry, using powder and/or ointment is best. Anyone know more??? Never had this with my girls, i have a big bubba boy now!!

well...i'm not sure, but my niece was a really really chubby baby and she would get that..it turned out to be eczema which she still has today from time to time (she's 10 now)

Not sure. I would think anything that would prevent diaper rash would also work on other areas.

I had that problem with my daughter, I just had to keep them clean and it was fine, I'd wipe them out with a diaper wipe a couple times a day.
The red and cracked bit sounds like it's maybe yeast.

Poor little guy. I would get it checked with a dr and then go from there.

We don't have that problem...and I have a fatty. So I would be wondering if it is yeast or eczema too. Just since it is so irritated. I would try some coconut oil on them. Or some California baby cream to see if it helps. Those are both good for eczema. If it doesn't look better in a couple days, I would check with the doc. Just to be sure it is not yeast

But enjoy those little rolls. Kieran just started moving around seriously and I know I will be saying goodbye to his little rolls soon enough

I would check with the Doc to see if it might be eczema- sweat can be a trigger for some people and sweat does tend to build up in skin folds.
