did you crave anything (strange or not strange) during your pregnancy(pregnancies)? any food aversions? did any of it stick with you afterwards?
i craved pickled vegetables...i eat them normally, but not the way i was going through them in pregnancy...as for aversions...garlic. i still dont like as much garlic in my food the way i did before pregnancy. i used to use tons. now i'm not as generous with it. also, the first trimester i couldn't stand room temperature water. it had to be ice cold or hot in tea or coffee. my typical pregnancy craving was i couldn't get enough chocolate..especially chocolate covered almonds.

Not really. DH and I went to India for 2 weeks during my first trimester and all I could get was curry. I really wanted grilled cheese and pizza, but I don't think that had anything to do with being pregnant!
I went easy on DH. He never had to get me anything. I just ate everything in sight. :-) Carbs made my nausea go away.
With Eliana I had a massive aversion to peanut butter. Just thinking about what it smelled like when I was pregnant is enough to make me feel sick. I still have a hard time eating it, but I'll occasionally choke it down for the sake of getting enough protein. I can manage if it's with something (like PBJ)
With Eli I just had cravings, mostly for chocolate milk and caramel. I remember going through two gallons of chocolate milk in a week. I ate terribly when I was pregnant with Eli.
I craved FRUIT, lots of fruit, and spaghetti-O's. Now if I touch spaghetti-O's I want to puke.
I could NOT drink coffee. I would get sooooooooo sick. I missed it oh so much.
While pregnant with Kayley I had huge aversions to meat. ANY meat. It took me a little while to get over that one; but, I'm over it.
As far as cravings...beans! I hated them before being pregnant. That is one craving that stuck with me. I love beans now! I did have a few other cravings...cherry cheesecake (ended up not keeping that one down), then I was loving hamburger helper minus the hamburger stroghanoff. I could eat a whole box of that. I had gestational diabetes so I was all messed up. The pills I was on made my blood sugar too low a couple times. I remember instead of grabbing OJ or a piece of hard candy like what was reccommended, I would grab a tub of chocolate frosting (why did I keep that in the house in the first place? stupid.).

I had aversions to onions, popcorn, and sauerkraut. The last two were mostly about the smell, especially sauerkraut- my husband makes a big batch of the stuff every couple months and when it is fermenting on the countertop it is pretty odiferous! My onion aversion lingered for a few months PP but I am back to loving them now. The only cravings I had were for Vienna sausages and milk- two things that I usually don't care for.

I had severe hyperemesis so for the first half of my pregnancy everything, including water, was an aversion. There was a weird point where I could only hold down frozen waffles. After my thyroid levels got stabilized and the crazy severe sickness passed, I craved sour things like lemons. I loved spinach with lemon juice and middle eastern food. I didn't like sweet things. I remember DH and I making a late night run to Baskin Robbins because ice cream sounded good and I started crying after one taste of mine because it was so sweet that it was so nasty to me. DH ate mine and took me across the street to get an eggplant parm instead
Oh the smell of seafood made me sick all throughout my pregnancy. And eggs were kind of gross to me, even the thought of them.
While pregnant I did not eat meat. I was never a meat eater to begin with, just chicken here and there but now I am a full on vegetarian. I cannot bare the thought of eating meat ever again.
