I saw this!!! Love it. One of my best friends stopped her crafting blog a few years back because she said she felt like she was living a lie it sort of reminded me of that.
I don't do FB really (zero friends and I just join groups). I do have a blog for baby pics but it is really just a photo blog for random phone pics of M (not super nice or filtered or anything) and I don't think it gives some vision of our perfect life. It is just for tracking her milestones and growth and for far away family and friends to see what she looks like now. I feel like a lot of people do get sucked into creating an online/social media persona and it is pretty weird. Though if you make some money on it, good for you like the Posy Gets Cozy blog or something. I can see doing it if it's like part of your career to do that.
I am completely and totally honest about my life on facebook, especially when it comes to being a Mommy. For instance yesterday I posted a status about how I was sitting on the toilet with a book, plastic pot, and a toy remote all on my lap and baby minnie hanging out in a play stroller next to me lol.
