I know I'll get flack, but yes, I LOVE to tan.... Laying on the beach is one of my favorite summer relaxing activities! I think I look better with a tan, and although not really connected to the tanning process Vit. D does wonders for my mood and mental health!

In highschool I went to a tanning salon fairly often, usually I'd cut back as soon as people started asking if I had been away on a vacation (I didn't like the orange glow some people were after) but after 6+ months of cold and snow again, it did wonders for my mood and I felt better about myself. I couldn't afford to go anymore after I moved away from home.

Now however I am much more careful to wear sunscreen outside, and I don't use tanning beds, and would never sign a waiver to allow my minor children to do so (my parents for some reason did sign a waiver for me!) My dad had skin cancer removed from his face when I was in highschool, but I still went ahead with tanning. Now I just don't see the point of 'risking it'. Although I don't think I can think of anything more relaxing that smelling of coconut lying in a nice warm booth with those lights. I wouldn't do it anymore!

I do not think you are crazy Crunchy. If that is what you like, then that's cool. I do agree with you about not signing a waiver for a minor to use a tanning bed. There is no need for that if you are under age. If you want some color, put on some sun screen and go outside.

I, do not like it. And I burn. Must be because I am Irish and I am basically as pale as a ghost. And I also do not like the heat, so maybe that is a factor too.

I don't like tanning in a booth, but I love laying outside in the sun. Not like I tan or anything, my hubby says it's because I'm so pale I just reflect the sunlight

OMG. I used to go tanning from like 20-24ish I was skinny then. And kept up with highlights in my hair and I was ALWAYS tan.
I dated a guy who if I wasnt tan he would make me feel crappy about how I looked. Once we broke up I stopped tanning so much.
My husband definitely does not want me to go tanning. He likes that I glow in the dark. lol. I went tanning a few times the weeks leading up to our wedding, 3 years ago and havent since. And don't plan on it. I get good color outside in the sun since i am part American Indian. . .it helps. . . well that is what my grandma used to say haha

I love tanning! I think it is so relaxing! I haven't been to a tanning bed in years but I would go occasionally just to relax. lol. But now that we live in florida i can just go outside or to the beach and tan.

Any man that tells a woman she is ugly is a complete jerk. Even if you feel that way about someone, keep your comments to yourself!

I get TOO LITTLE sun (some sun is a good source of vitamin d) I often look unhealthy because I have a skin tone that doesn't look well unless I get a little bit of sun each day, and maybe at most I get like 15-30 minutes of sun a week. At most.

Ok, so ladies that like to tan. When is enough, enough? When Drake and I were at the pool this afternoon there were 4 girls tanning, and there skin looked awful. It was so brown and like wrinkly. They had to have been in there early 20's too.
