Have you ever DTD while the kids were awake?

Gentle parenting is about guiding instead of controlling,
connecting instead of punishing,
and encouraging instead of demanding.
It's about listening, understanding, responding and communicating.

No. My son is untrustworthy. There's a reason why we have alarms on all the outside doors and it's not for burglars.....

Oh no! Does he try to escape?!

We have DTD while Drake was awake. It was obviously a quicky and it is not something we do all the time, but we have.

Yes. I woke up one morning to my neighbor bringing me back my son. Yeah....that was fun. Oy. He unlocked the door and the deadbolt and walked across the street at 7am in his Pjs...no shoes or socks...in the rain. Rang their doorbell and greeted them with "Play! play!" We have those door knob things on that are supposed to be kid proof, but he just dismantles them. We then used super glue on them. He still found a way to break them apart. He's quiet and he's sneaky. So now we have loud alarms....

Never been more thankful in my life to live on base.

OMG! That's so scary! I am so glad it was nothing serious! Has he tried to escape since?

Yes we have. If we had to wait till both kids were sleeping we would never get to do it. Lol. We are pretty active.

Just quickies while the TV is on and the kids are distracted.

I dont think so. Its usually during naptime on the weekends or when he's in bed. he goes to bed everynight at 8 without fail. So it gives us plenty of time.

pretty much everyday when we're home he tries to. But with the alarms (we keep them on 24/7) he doesn't get past the door stoop! lol

Same with us Destiny. Drake will be watching a cartoon and we will sneak into the room with the door open and have a quicky. We always talk about how awful it will be when he walks in on us. I hope that NEVER happens!

Same here. They bang on the door but luckily haven't opened it yet. I would be horrified if they did!

Me and DH always come up with "scenarios" and it scares me! How do you ladies go on with your day after being caught? I feel like I would laugh, then cry then be very embarrassed.
