When you cannot find the back scratcher, just look in the oven....

LOL! Yes I do, well DH does. YEARS ago DH used to complain about how his back was always itchy (the water in Iraq was dry) and he would always say "When I come home I want a back scratcher." So as a joke, like 4 years ago I went to the dollar store and I found one so I got it! He has had the same one ever since. But now Drake LOVES it. It's his "baby cane" and apparently he can out it in the oven...

I would have never thought to look there.

We used to have a back scratcher too, until the neighbor stole it. They are epic.

They stole it?! They cost ONE dollar...wow...

And same here! I have no idea what made me look in there but I am glad I did. I told DH tonight that we HAVE to look in there before we pre heat it to cook. But question, I have never seen anything to hold an oven shut. Does something like that exist? I cannot imagine if he opens it while something is cooking. Im scared to death!

Oh my! Thats so funny! I always look in random places the kids love to hide stuff. Does your oven have a lock on it? All the ones I have had have a little bar that slides across right underneath or about the handle for the door and you slide it and locks it. I don't know if that made sense or not. lol. Although if you do lock it don't do it while Drake is around otherwise he will know how to work the lock. I have made that mistake before.

Too funny!

They have oven locks at Babies R Us...probably on Amazon, too. They are $5-10, so definitely worth it to keep the little explorers out

Seriously. She took it one day while she was visiting and never brought it back. And then tried to say BF gave it to her. Why would he do that?!

They do sell oven safety latches I think..? I'm almost certain I saw them when I was looking for baby stuff online.

Nevermind my oven now doesn't have a lock either. I thought they all came with them. It would seem logical. Good to know they make locks you can buy!

Speaking of locks. Have you ladies ever used those toilet locks? We keep both bathroom doors shut but we do get followed in there from time to time and Drake likes to stand there with us while we fill the tub AND he likes to open the toilet and stick his hand in it. I was thinking I need to get the toilet locks BUT my Aunt has them and it literally takes me like 5 minutes to open them. I don't know what it is! I just cannot get them open!

I have never fought a toilet lock, I don't think I want to! On a side note, my oven also does not have a lock. I didn't know they built them in. I looked online just now and they sell all sorts of crazy locks. Oven, fridge, even things like door handle covers but for oven dials.

Omg I know my kids love the dishwasher too. Let me kbow of you can get Drake to load it! Lol. I swear half our water bill is wasted water from them starting the dishwasher and flushing the toilet.

And yes we tried the covers for the oven knobs my son ripped them right off. That is why I don't bother child proofing anymore. I wasted so much money.
