Am I the only one that gets lulled to a sleepy state? I swear, my kids are still awake and my eyelids just get heavier and heavier! lol

Me too!! I sing to Drake every nap and at night time (If DH is not putting him to bed which is rare. He puts him to bed every single night) but anyways, I will be singing "Twinkle twinkle little star" and I hear myself and I am singing "willie lill lilll....star.....sunshine..." LOL! Literally, then sometimes I fall asleep and when I wake up Drake is passed out in my arms.

haha we've stopped playing music when Arthur is falling asleep. he goes down without it so it's not needed. That was always my least favorite part of daycare... you'd be rubbing a child's back in a dark quiet room with soft music playing and couldn't sleep! torture!

LOL! Callen is too funny!

Maybe I read this wrong? I do not play music for him, I sing.

I used to try to get M down for naps in her bed, and I'd be singing and then slowly get slower and slower in my tempo, and the notes would go a little flat, and long pauses in between... and I'd be keeping my eyes closed more and more and almost nodding off... and then she'd leap up suddenly and we'd have to start over, and over, until I'd give up *sigh* but I really felt like my sleep-inducing singing was effective for me at least. The only way to get that girl to nap is to take a long drive in the car. UGH. At least she goes down easily for bedtime.

Well, my oldest has the most difficult time going to sleep sometimes. So not only do we have to play music but we also have to sing. We start with the music while we're getting ready for nap/bed and then we turn it down and start the singing. And I am the same way. I start singing I'm okay until my eyelids start getting heavy and I realize I'm lulling myself to sleep. I've caught myself once or twice where I've dozed and she's just looking at me like...Okay, where's my song? lol
