I hate this generalisation. The article says "most of Europe" in the title. It then talks only about UK with one line about France. In my part of Europe we just shake our heads. No amount of snow will bring us to a halt.

Fluga, I see what you are saying. In fact, that is part of the reason why I found this article of interest. I lived in Germany for a while and while the weather was never extreme when we were there . . . I just kind of thought "I'd think they would be able to handle it".
