If you don't take crime into account then Detroit would be a great place to live. It's super cheap as long as you don't mind getting shot.

I live in Las Vegas and have no problems with family life and activities. At least I don't live in Chicago or Detroit.....

Oh I didn't have a problem with family life or activities either lol I just lived there for 23 years and the heat, the traffic and the anger got to me, did I mention the heat?? lol Plus my ex lives there and my mom was staying in north town....and the educational system sucks lol.. but I agree.. Chicago and Detroit are much worse than Vegas.
