I read about that. I think it's horrible. Women need support in labor, and if an OBGYN isn't going to give it to her, then she should be allowed to bring a Doula. My hopsital has Doulas that, how do I explain... they are independant, meaning they have their own business and fees that you pay directly to them, but they still work or are incorporated with the hospital.

Holy crap!! When I was pregnant with Ivy my OBGYN gave me the business card of a doula he recommended. If women are allowed to have visitors during labor, why can't we have visitors that help us through labor? This is crazy!
