I think its awful. they should report the news, not invent it!!!! They wouldn't listen to the experts they hired who told them they were fake or to the people closest to the deceased colonel. At the very least they should of provided that point of view also and said that 2 of the experts they contacted had questions to the authenticity of the memos. But it didn't fit their preconceived story. To be digging for dirt for 5 years says you want to find dirt whether there is any there or not. And they say they aren't partisan, hmph! I don't think this is over either, this is a felony and they have a duty to release the source. They haven't really done that. This retired guard colonel says he got them from someone else or something. So, who are they protecting??? Mary Mapes needs to be fired and maybe prosecuted and Dan Rather needs to take an early retirement.
