A 59 year-old woman who had her tubes tied 33 years ago is pregnant with twins and to give birth next month. She wasn't trying to, but apparantly they came untied! I hope it isn't something in the water!

Great grandmother set to deliver twins

Okay, she wasn't trying to, and they just came untied. Didn't know that was possible. Now the question is...Since it was 33 years ago, can she still sue the doctor that tied them? Is he/she even still alive? Maybe if I read the article it'll answer some of these questions right, guess I'll have to do that.

Isn't it great to know that even at that age we can have a good sex life. LOL!!!

I seen that story on the news. The woman will break the records of age and having a baby. Wow all those years ago having your tubes tied. Then boom. Your pregnant. I wouldn't want to be pregnant at that age. I don't know about sueing the doc that tied her tubes. The doc may be retired and even deceased. And there must be statuets of limitations or something. It was a freak accident. These days when you get your tubes tied. It's done differently. They made to definately not get you pregnant.

I just can't imagine having more kids at that age............... I would be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo exhausted, not to mention all the normal family members that would help out would probabaly be older and tired too.....

This really upsets me in a way... you can sorta tell from the state of the yard behind her that she is probably in financial distress... Now, there are millions of women out there who just CAN NOT get pregnant or stay pregnant, and they are financially stable and would be loving parents... but yet this woman who obviously didn't want anymore of her own babies and may not be able to provide for them gets to have more...

What an assumption. So maybe she is a bit on the poor side that certainly does not mean she will love her children, or that they will go without. I am not basing me having kids on you (general) not being able to have them. You are making assumptions that she can't take care of kids. I would be more worried about your attitude than her age.
