Ok, Momo (Sara) got me thinking about how some us can be hypocrites in one respect or another... so I thought we could have some fun with it. Can you think of something, that you'd be willing to share, so we can laugh at ourselves and throw popcorn at each other for being hypocritical? Come on girls? Are we just only perfect?

I'll go first... I draft wells and pipelines for, eventually, the oil industry (which we export to the US.)... yet I voted for the Green Party.

Hehe, I take it it was the fur topic?

I don't think there is one person out there who can say they aren't a hypocrite in some way.
Ok, mine.... Um, I am sometimes the hardest on people who have made the same mistakes I have. (I can also be hard on myself too).
I also say that I need to love everybody and I really do want to love everybody but there are some people that are nearly impossible for me to love. I just can't love them on my own I guess, I need God's help for that one!
Ok, those are two.... I could go on!

I'll have an aneurism about equality but I really like girly things like pink, nails... you know - the things that make you go "BLAH!"

I wanted to ask you girls something...

I live in Alberta, home of beef pride. I've grown up on it and love it. I used to eat it daily but now it's like once a week. (I eat lots of chicken in between.)

Now I'm all against animal cruelity but then I eat beef. I know they're treated pretty good but it's not the easiest thing to stomach - the slaughter of a one ton cow. I know we use the skin for leather too but it's really made and killed for it's meat. So I wanted to know what you girls think. I've considered being a vegetarian for years but as soon as I shy away from meat, I CRAVE it...

Maybe for me it's that I preach a bit about education to my teenage nieces & how important it is, etc (of course because I worry so much for their future - brilliant girls) and I never have reallly believed you need an education to make it...what education I do have has NOTHING to do with what I do now. I didn't really do the typical - high school straight to college thing & I don't regret it at all.

If they don't go to college right off, but appear to be handling their "business" fine, being responsible, etc. It's unlikelythat I would say anything more (unless they weer looking for hte encouragement) - but I do want them to go to college, because it takes a certain scrappiness & personality to make a go of it without a degree & I think it's probably an easier path in adulthood with that piece of paper.

This may not seem very hypocritical to you ladies, but if my nieces read this, they'd probably have a thing or 2 to say about it. I just love 'em too much & I believe they could have the world with the right choices.

Okay- I am always harping to my kids and husband that it is important to be punctual. They are always late for practice, school, appt. whatever. I am always blah, blah, blah you need to improve. Two weeks ago, as I was scrambling (late for work) I jumped in my car and backed out-um- with the garage door still closed. My husband says he is never going to fix the garage door because everytime I harp at him for being late he can just point at it and smirk. Ughh he's got me

I can be a hypocrite about ALOT of things, but hey, at least I can admit it!! I hate it when people speed on the roads but yet I love NASCAR. When I used to babysit my cousin (he was 3 at the time) he would hit my sister and I'd slap him on the hand and tell him not to hit! How confusing to him was that?!?!
