So, who here likes Twilight?

I can't stand it, Stephanie Meyers is a good writer and if she wrote anything else that has nothing to do with Vampires, I'd probably read it. I just don't like the whole Vampire thing.

She has another book. The Host. Nothing to do with vampires.

Did you like any of the books? Or was the whole series crappy in your opinion?

I agree. If you like Meyer but vampires aren't your thing, read The Host.

Oh! I thought The Host was part of Twilight oopsie! lol I'll be sure to check out the Host the next time I'm at the library.

I read the first book, but I couldn't read the other ones, I dislike Vampires that much. Like I said before, she's a good writer I just don't like Vampires.

I did not care for Twilight because it just didn't follow my idea of what vampire traits should be. Yes, I know they are not real, but it just bothered me and distracted me from what could have been a good story.

I love vampire, werewolf, shapeshifter type stories... and I love the twilight series.

Part of why I like it so much IS because of her completely different and new take on vampires! I personally thought it was great.

I plan to read The Host, I just need to wait until this summer when I have more time.

Loved it, absolutely loved it. I only like the off the wall non generic Vampire novels, so far the Night World series, The Last Vampire Series and Twilight have been the only ones I've enjoyed

Hate Twilight... never read any of her stuff.. don't like what she did to vampires, I'm a huge vampire fanatic and I think she made it too teenage emo...it's like Degrassi High meets Sabrina the Teenage Witch with vampires tossed in for sparkles...

I haven't read it yet. I'm afraid that I would like it and then I would have discovered a completely new way to waste hours of my time.

LOL! Love this!

I love Twilight... it's my guilty pleasure. Seriously though, I know I shouldn't. I don't dig her writing style, and thus, hated the host. I just super love Alice. Quite frankly, Alice makes the books for me. Probably because we have a similar personality (no, I can't see the future, I wish.)

RJ, if you hated the first one, you'd probably like New Moon better... It's the non-Edward book. Very chock-full-o-Jacob. Yum.

I think Stephanie Meyer is a terrible writer (she needs a thesaurus... bad!) but I enjoyed reading the books. I admit they sucked me in. Total guilty pleasure.

I'm now almost at the end of the second book. I finally was able to get copies from my cousin, for the longest time I had only read the first book. I think #2 is definitely better than #1. It's an enjoyable, fast read, but I don't think she is that talented an author. Plus Bella and Edward get on my nerves. I think the only interesting characters are Alice and Jacob.

I dont think I can even weigh in on how much I loved and still love the series. Maybe my siggie speaks for itself?
