I guess since I'm a single parent I enjoy being able to do anything by myself. On the rare occassion that their father feels like being a dad and takes them I do tons of things by myself and I enjoy it (and perhaps get a bit of pleasure at not being the parent with they crying/whinning children fro a change). I've never gone to the movies by myself but I have done restaurants, shopping and sight seeing kinda things. I think that this weekend I might do the movie (he's says he's picking them up...lol). When I was younger I went to the prom by myself (I had lots of offers but didn't want to go with someone), I've even gone to the clubs by myself.
I love doing things for myself and alone, I'm not the biggest people person out there so I don't mind it.
Then again, I'm a single mom, i live alone and don't have to many friends so doing things alone is completely normal
It is just recently that someone started watching Tanja so I can go out, beside that.. haven't been alone alone in over two years

Before I had DD I probably would not have. Aside from going to the local coffee place to study during college or shopping, I wouldn't go many places on my own. Now I would LOVE to go to a movie or museum by myself!! However to me restaurants are meeting places so I would still feel odd going to one alone.
I've done all of those things, but my choice of restaurant was usually the "I'm really hungry but I don't have time to go home before my movie" type rather than the candles and tablecloths and gourmet chef type.
I think I could go to a less utilitarian restaurant alone now if my littlest was otherwise occupied and I didn't need the money for anything else.
