Abortion: pro-choice 1st trimester, pro-life 3rd trimester, somewhere in between 2nd trimester
Drinking age: arbitrary number
Political stance: liberal, mostly Democrat
Selective Service: I'm not male, so it hasn't come up, but *bleep* the draft
Gay marriage: any two adults should be permitted to marry
Universal pre-k: I am not sure whether universal K+ is working..
Sex education: should be mandatory
Vaccinations: I am FOR them
Sin Tax: good idea, I happily pay it when relevant
legalization of marijuana: FOR it, it is a valuable medicine and a less harmful recreational drug
Universal Health care: FOR it, we need this desperately
"performance pay" for teachers: provided the performance is not BS, it is a great idea
war: against it in most cases
Methods of birth control: I am FOR birth control! Sigh.. maybe in 20 years this issue will be a no-brainer
How many kids people should have: <4, if you are me <=2
Vegetarian/eating meat: let people eat meat but I prefer to eat as little of it as possible
gun control: I hate guns and wish they'd all evaporate
death penalty: for it
circumcision: we practice(d) it and will again if we have another son
Fertility treatments/Assisted reproduction: should be paid for out of pocket if not primary/first kid
Assisted suicide: beats regular suicide.. we let other animals cease to suffer, but not humans.. doesn't sound right to me
Illegal Immigrants *not immigration POLICY: as individuals, I judge each person separately.. but I am not happy with the poor craftsmanship by certain illegals who are employed in construction, and I am not happy with poor service in other industries..
Gender Selection: not a good idea in any place where either gender is more favorable
Fat Tax: depends on what.. if on things fat people are going to actually cost more money for, then perhaps. And I say this as a formerly obese person who fights obesity daily, and not just some judgmental skinny person.
Shopping Carts: are a good idea to use in stores
Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast: the first two should be served rarely, the third at least pretends to be fortified
Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies: sucks but if my kid were the allergic one I'd hope the school administration would want to keep him alive
VBACs: if you want one, have one
Government involvement in citizens' lives: the government is very involved in our lives, depending on which half of the political crap pile you are on. I prefer the Democratic method.
Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves: haha, I heard of at least one militant anti-seat-belter who would've had his life saved if he'd not been such a jerk about it.. just saying.
Unassisted Childbirthing: is not for me
Plastic Surgery: is mostly not for me and should be paid for out of pocket in frivolous cases
Chili (with or without beans): beans, of course!
Welfare: is often misused and gives people a bad impression of users of it
dress codes for school/office: should include COMFORTABLE clothing.. who on Earth thought people could work efficiently in stiff suits and itchy nylons? Not to mention collared shirts, ties, button-up shirts.. horrors. I don't even care what it LOOKS like; it feels bad.
Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections: I trust what my doctor says in my case and think families should do similar, or their own research if they do not trust.
Introducing solids: I trusted what my son's doctor said (5mo) and it worked for us
Car Seats: For
Spanking: Against
Children and Pets: should be nice to each other
Nursing in Public: For
Cry it Out: I am for it in theory but against it in practice
Television and Infants/Toddlers: it's been a really good babysitter for a child who wants constant stimulation
Caring for your elderly parents: against, but that pertains to ME caring for MY parents
Diamonds: look pretty in the center of my wedding ring set
In-N-Out Burger: is absolutely delicious and the closest thing to real food you will find at fast food joints
Reborn dolls: never heard of them; sounds scary
Homosexual orientation/relationships: I believe that being gay is part of being you, if you are gay.
Polyamory: a cross between "it could work for me if I weren't with someone who prefers monogamy" and "dear God, that would just be the biggest cluster*bleep* ever"
Scary movies: not for me; not entertaining
Transcultural adoption: any adoption of children who need it is a **** good thing; let the newly married gay coupled in there first.
Drug testing welfare recipients: I'm being all heartless again, but I think that if one must pass a drug test for employment, one must pass one for free money.
"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc: against
Organized religions: against
Mandatory breastfeeding attempts/prescriptions for formula: against
Family beds: are not for us
TTC on assistance: I don't agree with it, sorry.
Infants/toddlers in bikini style swim suits: I feel sort of sick when I see this, actually
Leash backpacks for kids: are better than dead kids who didn't follow directions
Beauty pageants: against
TV watching for kids under age 2: for

Abortion Pro choice, but there should be limitation, IMO. Like nothing past the 1st trimester unless the mothers life is in danger.
Drinking age bring it back down to 18. If you can drive a car, join the military and vote, then you should be able to drink a beer.
Political stance I'm a registered Dem, but I find that I tend to lean more towards a conservative Dem.
Selective Service needs to stay voluntary
Gay marriage for
Universal pre-k for
Sex education for
Vaccinations for
Sin Tax for I have no issues paying taxes for my own vices.
legalization of marijuana for make it legal and then tax the hell out of it
Universal Health care for
"performance pay" for teachers no real decision either way I guess it depends on the school system.
war against but I support our troops
Methods of birth control for
How many kids people should have whatever they can handle without being a total burden on society
Vegetarian/eating meat eat how you wish
gun control for
death penalty depends on the level of the criminal offender and if they are guilty with out a doubt
circumcision your choice
Fertility treatments/Assisted reproduction I'm fine with them but I do feel there should be an age limit. For example, a 60 year old should not be able to get fertility treatments.
Assisted suicide your life your choice
Illegal Immigrants *not immigration POLICY They don't bother me at all
Gender Selection against
Fat Tax against since this will most likely effect the lower income population
Shopping Carts fine as long as they stay in the store and store lot
Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast soda and candy against, but the occasional pop tart is fine by me
Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies depends on how severe the allergy is
VBACs more power to you
Government involvement in citizens lives against for the most part
Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves for
Unassisted Childbirthing I think it's out there but your choice
Plastic Surgery your choice
Chili (with or without beans) depend on my mood
Welfare for, people sometimes do need it
dress codes for school/office I'm fine with it
Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections against if it truly is elective
Introducing solids whatever you feel is best for your baby
Car Seats for
Spanking for
Children and Pets umm don't most people want both?
Nursing in Public for
Cry it Out for but with limits
Television and Infants/Toddlers no problem as long as they're not there for all of their waking hours
Caring for your elderly parents should be done by you if you can manage
Diamonds love em
In-N-Out Burger huh? never heard of it
Reborn dolls some of them are cute
Homosexual orientation/relationships whatever floats your boat
Polyamory another to each their own as long as it's not a forced the choice, I don't care what you do
Scary movies bring em on
Transcultural adoption for
Drug testing welfare recipients against
"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc I don't judge in that department. You may have had those items before you needed welfare.
Organized religions not a fan of but I'm not against it either
Mandatory breastfeeding attempts/prescriptions for formula very against, it's a huge slap in the face to mothers, like myself, who were unable to bf even though we wanted to.
Family beds to each their own
TTC on assistance isn't this the same as fertility treatments? see my fertility treatments response
Infants/toddlers in bikini style swim suits cute to a point, I've seen some slutty ones put on children that young
Leash backpacks for kids I'm not bothered at all, I actually had to use one for my son for a short while.
Beauty pageants I could take them or leave them
TV watching for kids under age 2 doesn't this fall under the infant/toddler tv time question? See that response

Abortion: Personally against unless it's an issue of rape, a quality of life question for the fetus (IE knowing for sure it will be born with severe and debilitating problems that will ultimately lead to an early death) or if it's a question of life and death for the mother. Those are the only circumstances in which I would get one. For everyone else, well, I don't think any government body ought to be telling people what they can and cannot do to their bodies. Get the government out of my uterus.
Drinking age: I think the drinking age should be abolished altogether. Stores should only sell alcohol to over 18's, but as far as actually drinking it goes, people should be accountable for their own actions.
Political stance: Meh. I'm about as socially liberal as they come, but very fiscally conservative in some ways. My belief is this: unless I am doing something that is hurting someone else or infringing on someone else's right to live in their way, the government ought to stay the heck out of my life.
Selective Service: Dunno what that means.
Gay marriage: For, for, for, a million times, FOR! It is a tragedy that some places in the world still treat gays, lesbians and bisexuals as second class citizens. I'm halfway gay (bisexual) myself, if I met a woman, I would love to be able to marry her just as I'd be able to amrry a man if that were the case.
Universal pre-k: Meh. Indifferent. I homeschool, so as long as I can continue to do that, the US can continue to run its system into the ground all they want. A year of extra school will not help things. It may hurt them, actually, considering I think schools in their present state do far more harm than good.
Sex education: In public schools, 100% for it. I went to school for middle and high school in Toronto and New York respectively, and we had a passable sex ed in both places. I hope that has not changed in the 11 years since I left school, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it has likely only gotten worse.
Vaccinations: Personally against. Don't care what anyone else does.
Sin Tax: I don't know what that is. Is it something the Christian Right has proposed? If it has anything to do with or if it has been proposed by the religious sector of society, I am certainly against it. The Church and the State do enough damage separately. To have them working together is certain disaster.
Legalization of marijuana: For. As with alcohol and cigarettes, I am for personal responsibility and against the government telling me what I can and can't do if it has no bearing on anyone else and if I am committing a victimless "crime."
Universal Health care: I think there should be a default universal option so that people need not suffer and die just because they can't afford the insurance company's fees which are basically highway robbery. I also think private insurance should still be an option, as it is in most countries which have adopted UHC.
"performance pay" for teachers: Again, meh. As long as I can keep homeschooling, I don't care.
War: Which war? The ones in Iraq and Afghanistan? Against. War in general? Depends on the motivations and the situation. I am against war altogether, but not against entering a conflict when needed (like in WWI and WWII) or defending one's country from an invasion.
Methods of birth control: Whatever. I personally use an implant.
How many kids people should have: However many they want as long as they're good to them and I'm not footing the bill. I can't say I'm thrilled with the religious people and their manifesto to "outbreed" the competition and take over, but whatever. If I happen to meet the right partner, I'd be happy to have a large family if he/she so wishes.
Vegetarian/eating meat: I think consuming red meat (cows especially) at the rate Americans do is appalling and a seriously destructive way of life, both environmentally and health wise. I eat red meat myself, but never as a primary protein and never as the meal itself.
Gun Control: For in the case of assault weapons, against in the case of hunting weapons. If you have no intention or inkling to kill another human being with a weapon meant for it, you won't object to not being allowed to own it.
Death Penalty: Meh. Against, mostly because of the idea that even with DNA technology and the like, there are still people falsely imprisoned for crimes they didn't commit.
Circumcision: Vehemently against.
Fertility treatments/Assisted reproduction: For if you want to do it.
Assisted suicide: For.
Illegal Immigrants *not immigration POLICY: For. The country's economy would collapse without them. No human being seeking a better life is "illegal." I think we will look back on this, in 100 years, and be ashamed of the attitudes and measures against these desperate people. Or at least I hope so.
Gender Selection: For, if that's what you want to do. Personally, neutral on the subject. But I think it should be available.
Fat Tax: For. If people are going to consume more than their fair share, they should pay more than their fair share.
Shopping Carts: ? What about them?
Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast: Don't care. It's actually better for kids to eat sweet/sugary things in the morning than it is at night, more time to metabolise and burn off the calories. I don't have food rules in my house, I believe given equal availability of a variety of foods, children and people in general (who haven't been screwed up with bad ideas about food and nutrition) will choose a healthy and varied diet for themselves. Thus far, after almost 7 years of raising my girls, I've been proved 100% correct.
Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies: Ridiculous, but as with all other school related things, I don't care as long as it doesn't affect me.
VBACs: For.
Government involvement in citizens lives: Against.
Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves: Don't care. I'm smart enough to wear a seatbelt and to strap my kids in. If other people want to be stupid and break their necks, that's up to them.
Unassisted Childbirthing: Done it twice, 100% for if that is your decision and you are comfortable with it.
Plastic Surgery: Personally against (says the 28 year old me), for anyone else, neutral. What you do with/to your body is your business.
Chili (with or without beans): I do not care for chili.
Welfare: For, but only when it is used as intended - to help someone in a bad situation get on their feet again. I do not think it should be used to support peoples' lifestyles (IE SAHM on welfare to avoid working) or just as a way to be lazy. There should be more accountability.
dress codes for school/office: School: Against it at public schools, private schools can write their own rules. Office: For, if it is a private business.
Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections: I think it's misguided and dangerous at best, and I'm personally against all but absolutely necessary c-sections as a last resort, but I won't say anyone else can or can't.
Introducing solids: I personally do it later, at around 8-10 months or so.
Car Seats: For, but not to the lengths the law goes on it. The law in my current state is 8 years or 4'9" tall. I was 4'8" in middle school (now 5'8", but that's a different story!)! I can't imagine being in a carseat at 12. I think carseats are a good thing, but I do not believe in laws regulating the use of them.
Spanking: VEHEMENTLY against. I consider it abuse, and think as with other abuses that harm people (domestic violence, even hitting a random stranger, etc) it should be against the law and considered assault. You can't hit your wife, you can't hit your friend, you can't hit a stranger, you can't hit your employee, you can't hit your dog... but you can hit a vulnerable, innocent child? What is wrong with that picture?
Children and Pets: FOR!
Nursing in Public: FOR!
Cry it Out: 100% against.
Television and Infants/Toddlers: A little is fine, but it's not something I encourage them to do all the time.
Caring for your elderly parents: If they deserve it.
Diamonds: As long as they're come by in an ethical manner, for, I guess. At least it isn't something ultra destructive, environmentally speaking.
In-N-Out Burger: Dunno, never eaten there.
Reborn dolls: Creepy, but if it makes you happy.
Homosexual orientation/relationships: What about them? Some people love people of the opposite gender, some people love people of the same gender, some people don't care about sex at all, some people like both. Where's the big deal?
Polyamory: If it works for you. Not my personal cup of tea.
Scary movies: YAY! And they're good for kids to see sometimes, as long as they're not forced upon someone who doesn't want to watch them. My kids love scary movies. My 6y/o thinks "Sleepy Hollow" (the Johnny Depp version) is hilarious.
Transcultural adoption: For, as long as the adoption is ethically conducted.
Drug testing welfare recipients: For.
"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc: Against.
Organized religions: I think in general, the Big Three (Christianity, Islam and Judaism) do more harm than good. The first especially.
Mandatory breastfeeding attempts/prescriptions for formula: Fun idea, but no, as it would require more government intervention into a non-abusive, non-criminal situation.
Family beds: For, and loving it!
TTC on assistance: Against.
Infants/toddlers in bikini style swim suits: For. Easy on, easy off.
Leash backpacks for kids: For the LULZ! I think they're ridiculous but they sure are fun to watch in a sad-funny kind of way. I never saw one until I moved back to the US 3 years ago. I was quite bewildered at first.
Beauty pageants: Creepy. Against it if the child doesn't want it. If the child does, for I guess.
TV watching for kids under age 2: Don't really care. I don't personally encourage nor discourage my kids (now older than 2) from TV, but I do provide plenty of alternatives and stuff to do outside, so it is a non-issue in my house.
Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast--Against

Chili (with or without beans)--both! Depends on the type of chili.
Welfare--For

Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections--I don't think it's the best decision to have a first time elective C-section, but it's not my decision. I have no problem with repeat C-sections.
Introducing solids--Definitely something you should do at some point. We introduced at 4 months. I feel that's the youngest they should be introduced.
Car Seats--Absolutely! And safely!
Spanking--Against
Children and Pets--I'm not a big fan of pets as it is. As long as they're taken care of I think they can effectively help children learn some specific responsibilities.
Nursing in Public--For!
Cry it Out--Against!

"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc----for

Abortion: Pro-life, unless the mother's life is at serious risk.
Drinking ag: I wouldn't mind if it were banned altogether, due to the idiots who drink and drive, but realistically I think it's fine at 21. I'd go for it being 25 though. Too many stupid decisions are made while drinking.
Political stance: Independent. I agree and disagree on issues from all sides.
Selective Service: When was the last time a Draft was even ordered? I'm for it.
Gay marriage: Against. A marriage is and should always be between man and woman. Gays can call it something else.
Universal pre-k: Against. Parents need to take a more active role in their children's early education.
Sex education: Discuss the dangers, and scare them silly, with parental consent. I don't want children to be taught all the how-to's.
Vaccinations: Against for myself, but I wish the FDA/CDC would adopt a delayed schedule for those who still want them. IMO, it's downright ridiculous to think it's safe to inject tiny underdeveloped bodies with so many chemicals that are PROVEN to be harmful. At least with a delayed schedule you could pin a reaction to a certain vaccine.
Sin Tax: For.
Legalization of marijuana: Against. We'd see more vehicular crashes and deaths associated with it's use if it were legalized across the US. (my opinion)
Universal Health care: I think there should be something, but it should be basic, and I should NOT be required to pay for it if I never intend to use it. I'm all for reform and having basic healthcare for all, but it seems stupid to implement such a financially enormous policy when we are a nation in severe debt.
"performance pay" for teachers: Somewhat for, but first there needs to be a total reform of the PS system entirely.
War: I'm very on the fence about war. I do believe that they're necessary in some cases, but I hate the cost.
Methods of birth control: I don't care.
How many kids people should have: However many they want and can physically, financially and emotionally afford.
Vegetarian/eating meat: I don't care. But I'm a total carnivore.
Gun Control: I think we need some type of control, and it needs to be better than what we have now, but I agree that all law abiding citizens should have the right to own one. It would be nice if every person could be mentally evaluated annually before buying a gun, and then after.
Death Penalty: For. But they need to get on with it instead of making tax dollars pay for a death row inmate's ___ years in prison. Once it's proven, get on with it.
Circumcision: Either or. I don't feel too strongly about it either way, but my son is circ'd.
Illegal Immigrants *not immigration POLICY: I use to be vehemently against Illegal Immigrants entirely, but I now believe some are truly trying to escape from horrible conditions. I'm still against them though. I just feel more pity for them. They still need to come here legally and pay taxes instead of expecting handouts.
Gender Selection: Completely 1000000% against.
Fat Tax: For. I am literally surprised when I see a person in public who isn't overweight.
Shopping Carts: I try my hardest to put them back, but I admit it doesn't always happen.
Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast: For their birthday sure, otherwise no. This generation has become the fattest in our nations history. Why encourage it?
Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies: For in the case that there actually IS someone in the school with a severe peanut allergy. Otherwise, heck no.
VBACs: Completely for.
Government involvement in citizens lives: Against.
Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves: 10000% for. Seat belt laws DO NOT just protect you from yourself. By not wearing a seat belt, you can also become a projectile in a crash and can harm others.
Unassisted Childbirthing: Fine with it if you're educated and have a hospital/medical personnel close enough to assist in the event of an emergency.
Plastic Surgery: For, but there should be mental evaluations for people like Heidi Montag. Ew.
Chili (with or without beans): With.
Welfare: For, when temporary and not abused.
dress codes for school/office: For. Too much bullying is happening in the schools.
Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections: No and no.
Introducing solids: Not before 6 months.
Car Seats: 100000% FOR. I'd like to see every mom/dad pass a child safety course before leaving the hospital and have it become law to Extended Rear Face to 4 years old.
Spanking: On a well padded bottom, not in anger and used as a last resort, absolutely.
Children and Pets: For.
Nursing in Public: For.
Cry it Out: Shut a baby in a room to cry themselves to sleep for hours, sometimes screeching and puking? NO. I don't know anyone who does that and I don't consider that CIO. Fussing and whining themselves to sleep is fine in my book if you know you've done everything else to get them to sleep. For some babies (like mine) there is NO OTHER WAY.
Television and Infants/Toddlers: A little is fine, as long as it's well moderated by parents. Make it age appropriate and educational.
Caring for your elderly parents: I'm all for a good nursing home!
Diamonds: Don't particularly care.
In-N-Out Burger: Never had one.
Reborn dolls: Weird, but no harm done.
Homosexual orientation/relationships: I don't particularly agree with bi/homosexual lifestyles.
Polyamory: I don't agree with it, but whatever floats your boat.
Scary movies: I hate them. I had extremely vivid, gut and heart wrenching nightmares for years until I completely stopped watching them. I haven't seen a scary movie in over 6 years and I am very glad.
Transcultural adoption: Sure.
Drug testing welfare recipients: Absolutely.
"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc: Against.
Organized religions: I dislike the word "religion". I believe in a relationship with my Lord.
Mandatory breastfeeding attempts/prescriptions for formula: I think it would be seriously awesome. But I don't foresee it ever happening, unfortunately.
Family beds: Against.
TTC on assistance: Against.
Infants/toddlers in bikini style swim suits: Against.
Leash backpacks for kids: For. I used to be insanely against them until I had a 2 year old daughter who ran straight out into parking lots at any chance she could find. No amount of discipline stopped her.
Beauty pageants: I'm ok with natural beauty pageants only.
TV watching for kids under age 2: I don't think it's harmful.
Abortion: It is something that needs to be available, even if that means it will be used in ways I consider wrong.
Drinking age: I have to say my knee-jerk reaction is for it, but as it stands I just don't see it working.
Political stance: I'm registered Democrat.
Selective Service: I'd hate to see them have to use it for an actual draft, but I am still for gathering and maintaining the information.
Gay marriage: For. What could homosexuals possibly do to degrade marriage that heterosexuals haven't done already?
Universal pre-k: Against.
Sex education: Should be offered in every school, but I support a parent's right to keep their child from it even though I wouldn't.
Vaccinations: Not anti-vax, but I do not support the schedule maintained by U.S. Pediatricians, nor do I necessarily think every shot is needed.
Sin Tax : I'm for sin/luxury taxes.
legalization of marijuana: Don't think it would be a bad thing, but because of the war that has been waged against it previously any large-scale legalization would be an absolute bloody mess. It wouldn't be nearly as great for the nation/economy as many supporters think, and it wouldn't be the death knell many opposers think. I live in California where for all intents and purposes it is almost legal anyway.
Universal Health care: For.
"performance pay" for teachers: Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. There is already too much teaching to the test and letting kids slide by (or through the cracks) without mastering the fundamentals. It would set up a system where struggling students would be a liability the teacher couldn't afford.
war : Is not a simplistic enough concept that I can be for or against it. Even a winnable war for totally justifiable and sound reasons isn't something you should be whole-heartedly for.
Methods of birth control: For. Give women as many options as you can so she can make the best decision for herself. While there are a few I would not use unless under very special circumstances, I don't especially care what other women choose for themselves.
How many kids people should have: is subjective. I don't even know how many kids I should have yet.
Vegetarian/eating meat: I eat meat, and am of the opinion that eating a modest amount of animal protein as part of your diet is the healthiest, most natural option.
gun control: For education and some regulations, but I support the right to bear arms.
death penalty: I am for it.
circumcision : Not for my sons. I would like to see other families educate and weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.
Fertility treatments/Assisted reproduction: For it, think insurance should cover at least a portion of it, in medically warranted cases. I do think it is abused in some circumstances- for instance, octomom.
Assisted suicide: I would have a hard time reconciling myself to it, but I don't necessarily believe it should be forbidden.
Illegal Immigrants *not immigration POLICY: Are individuals. I have known some who come over and work like dogs for next to nothing, and some who come over and live pretty well off of government assistance. For many, their family didn't have another option for survival.
Gender Selection: Against.
Fat Tax: Against. I can understand how it makes sense for some services, but on the whole I don't think it is a good idea.
Shopping Carts: Put it away! You really can't be THAT far from a corral.
Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast: No, no, and preferably not often.
Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies: If something is a valid health risk to a student, it should be banned.
VBACs: For, but I can't hold it against women who don't elect to go down that route. I hope it is a choice I never have to make.
Government involvement in citizens lives: Often necessary, but also often over-done. For some involvement, against a nanny state.
Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves: For seat belt laws and for/against other 'protect you from yourself' laws. I don't think you can make a blanket statement about all of them. Often against, though.
Unassisted Childbirthing: Not against, but realized it wasn't for me.
Plastic Surgery : Can have valid reconstructive or health benefits, but can also be a tool of self-harm for people needing psychological help.
Chili (with or without beans) : Not a big fan, but prefer with beans when I have it.
Welfare : A bloody mess, but I support having welfare programs.
dress codes for school/office: I support dress codes, not so much uniforms.
Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections: Against, but I won't tell another woman how to give birth.
Introducing solids: At least 4 months, but I think usually later- baby will let you know. Sometimes the pedi is right and baby needs it before then (reflux babies, for instance).
Car Seats: For.
Spanking: Against, not right for my family.
Children and Pets: Very much for.
Nursing in Public: For.
Cry it Out: Against.
Television and Infants/Toddlers: Against.
Caring for your elderly parents : For, in most cases.
Diamonds: Against. Not for me at all. I wouldn't want to try to start a marriage out in debt for a sparkly rock some children may have died for.
In-N-Out Burger: It's not bad.
Reborn dolls: I don't think it would be for me, but however you need to cope with that situation is acceptable.
Homosexual orientation/relationships: I suppose it is selfish/self-centered, but I have a really hard time giving a crap who or what does it for people other than myself.
Polyamory: see above, but this one is not for me.
Scary movies: Love em, though I do prefer more suspense/psychological thriller than the straight out torture porn America has been making lately.
Transcultural adoption: I'd encourage families to look domestically as well, but if it gives a home to a kid who had no home before, it can't be that bad. I do think there can be some distasteful motivations for it in some cases. I would like to see some effort made to keep the child connected in some way to their original culture.
Drug testing welfare recipients: For it.
"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc: Mostly against it, and I've seen plenty of cases where it was taken to ridiculous extremes, but I also wouldn't have a problem with certain luxuries... holiday gifts for the kids, things like that.
Organized religions: I am involved in one.
Mandatory breastfeeding attempts/prescriptions for formula: No. I am pro-bf and would like to see all women really give it a go, but I do not want to see doctors/the government having that much say in a parenting decision. Prescriptions for formula could be a real nightmare and I am afraid it would lead to more babies being put onto inappropriate foods early on.
Family beds: It ended up being the right choice for my little one.
TTC on assistance: If you can't support yourself and/or your current kids, I don't think it is a wise or caring choice to make.
Infants/toddlers in bikini style swim suits: I don't like it. Looking into the little girl's department scares me. I foresee many battles with my little girl over this.
Leash backpacks for kids: Against. I hate it when I see it. That said, I realize it is an easier judgment to make when your child isn't yet to the kamikaze sprinter stage.
Drinking age Nobody pays attention to it, but 21 seems fine.

Abortion: against as a form of birth control, in the case of medical reasons should be a private decision between the parents, their doctor and a spiritual adviser if desired
Drinking age: I think 21 is ok, it's not like anyone who really wants to drink before that honors it anyway
Political stance: mostly centrist with leanings to the left
Selective Service: against, voluntary is best
Gay marriage: for
Universal pre-k: don't know
Sex education: for
Vaccinations: for
Sin Tax: for
legalization of marijuana: don't care
Universal Health care: for
"performance pay" for teachers: against, too many variables outside the teacher's control
war: against unless proven necessary
Methods of birth control: no opinion
How many kids people should have: as many as they want and can provide for
Vegetarian/eating meat: I'm a vegetarian, really don't care what anyone else eats
gun control: for
death penalty: against
circumcision: having a girl, haven't had to think about it
Fertility treatments/Assisted reproduction: for
Assisted suicide: possibly for, with the right circumstances and safeguards
Illegal Immigrants *not immigration POLICY: no problem with them as individuals, immigration system as a whole is broken
Gender Selection: against
Fat Tax: against
Shopping Carts: should be returned to their rightful place
Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast: ew
Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies: not sure
VBACs: no opinion
Government involvement in citizens lives: not a big issue at the moment in my experience
Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves: pro
Unassisted Childbirthing: not sure I'd restrict it, personally don't think it's a great idea
Plastic Surgery: personally against, again wouldn't restrict it legally
Chili (with or without beans): just beans please
Welfare: needs to be overhauled to work better, but pro
legalization of marijuana
Yes. I don't smoke, but I don't find it harmful, in fact beneficial for some.
Universal Health care
Nice in theory, but fascist in practice.
"performance pay" for teachers
Ambivalent.
war
No.
Methods of birth control
To each their own, save using abortion irresponsibly as BC.
How many kids people should have
No one's business but mine and my partner's save we can provide for said offspring.
Vegetarian/eating meat
To each their own. I eat meat on the occasion (mostly chicken/turkey/fish; I've digestive issues with red meat).
gun control
No. Why take away someone's rights to defend themselves? Also, won't the criminals have guns anyway?
death penalty
No. All life is sacred.
circumcision
No. He was made that way for a reason, and I'm not so lazy that I can't teach him to keep it clean.
Fertility treatments/Assisted reproduction
If it's needed, go for it.
Assisted suicide
Against. Again, all life is sacred.
Illegal Immigrants *not immigration POLICY
Against illegal immigrants. They should come in the legal way.
Gender Selection
Asinine. Isn't half the fun of having a baby guessing what the gender's going to be?
Fat Tax
Stupid.
Shopping Carts
Wipe 'em off.
Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast
I enjoy healthy food and instill healthy eating values in my kids.
Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies
Reasonable.
VBACs
If it's agreed upon by medical professional and patient, I don't see why not.
Government involvement in citizens lives
Government needs to get out of everyone's lives, period.
Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves
Disagree for anyone who's adult. It's their choice. Example: I was in a car accident ten years ago and had I been wearing my seatbelt I would've broken my neck, say doctors all across the board. The only thing that saved me was NOT wearing it and breaking the "law". (Nowadays I do wear it, though, through my choice)
Unassisted Childbirthing
To each their own, again.
Plastic Surgery
Vain.
Chili (with or without beans)
I wish I could eat it. My IBS won't allow for it.
Welfare
I hope it stays there for when it's needed, but I hate to see it abused.
dress codes for school/office
Something that should be common sense is made into rule or law. lol
Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections
Whatever, if you're paying for it. I don't want to be the one doing so through my taxes.
Introducing solids
Should be led per child.
Car Seats
Always.
Spanking
Never.
Children and Pets
Having pets greatly reduces a child's risk for asthma and allergies.
Nursing in Public
Completely natural.
Cry it Out
Dependent on each family/child. I tried it with DS and it didn't work. That doesn't mean it wouldn't work with another child.
Television and Infants/Toddlers
America's babysitter. Do not approve.
Caring for your elderly parents
Yes.
Diamonds
Meh. Waste of money.
In-N-Out Burger
Never heard of it.
Reborn dolls
Never heard of this either.
Homosexual orientation/relationships
Up to the individual. I don't care for it for myself.
Polyamory
See above.
Scary movies
I like them on the occasion, when there's actually plot and not just shock value blood and gore crap.
Transcultural adoption
Why not, if you're able to afford a child, does their race/culture matter?
Drug testing welfare recipients
On the fence on this one.
"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc
Disagree.
Organized religions
To each their own, if they could learn to stay out of everyone else's business. Sadly, they cannot.
Mandatory breastfeeding attempts/prescriptions for formula
Shouldn't be mandatory. It should be taught so that women will be educated as to the benefits of breastfeeding.
Family beds
Good for some, not for me.
TTC on assistance
Rather irresponsible.
Infants/toddlers in bikini style swim suits
Not a big deal. I had a crochet one growing up that my aunt made.
Leash backpacks for kids
Wish I had one with DS. Still wish I had one now, most of the time.
Beauty pageants
Teaches kids that being pretty is more important than being smart, having manners, or anything else of real worth.
TV watching for kids under age 2
Again, America's babysitter. I can do without TV altogether, period. It's not good for adults either.
Abortion: Pro Choice and while I wouldn't do it myself, that's STILL a choice
Drinking age: Mixed on this one
Political stance: none
Selective Service undecided
Gay marriage DEFINITELY should be legal
Universal pre-k pro
Sex education Pro but also think parents should do this at home; not just the schools
Vaccinations selective/delayed: Choice for each individual family
Sin Tax Unsure
legalization of marijuana pro
Universal Health care Unsure. Seems like a good idea, but the proposed plan needs a lot of work first
"performance pay" for teachers undecided
war Rather not, but it's part of life, unfortunately
Methods of birth control: Individualized
How many kids people should have as many as they can financially and emotionally provide for and handle
Vegetarian/eating meatLeaning toward vegetarian with the exception of during pregnancy (Not liking meat these days at all)
gun control pro
death penalty against
circumcision Personal decision for each family, but I wouldn't do it again if I had more boys
Fertility treatments/Assisted reproduction Defintely pro; needs to be regulated more in some areas and less in others...should also be covered by private insurance or at least the option to purchase
Assisted suicide udndecide
Illegal Immigrants: Regulation or assistance getting them legal
Gender Selection VERY much against except under very limited certain situations where medical/genetic conditions can be life-threatening to a particular sex
Fat Tax What is a fat tax? Undecided since I am not sure what that is
Shopping Carts Please put them back where they go!
Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts: For special occasions, not daily and not used for bribing except when bribing kids to do chores that are not actually their chores, lol
Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies Because this directly affects my son, I say please no peanuts, at least around him...
VBACs: PRO
Government involvement in citizens lives Get them to MTOB a little more
Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves Don't see it as a problem, but this doesn't affect me
Unassisted Childbirthing: Pro-choice on this one but I wouldn't do it without someone there!
Plastic Surgery Neutral; mostly because I think it's stupid unless someone is correcting a major defect/trauma
Chili (with or without beans): Beans
Welfare pro for those who really need it
dress codes for school/office Neutral
Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections: Not unless there is some medical reason behind choosing to do a c-sec. I would never elect surgery just because, though; too risky
Introducing solids: We introduced at 2 weeks for older kids and 4 months for the twins (as they were premature)...Cereal was placed right away for reflux issues as not to medicate. I would say this probably is neutral, because things have changed since my kids were infants.
Car Seats: Pro and boosters for older kids
Spanking: Pro; situation must be warranted and control must be maintained so the line into abuse is not crossed; it's not for everyone
Children and Pets: Pro
Nursing in Public Neutral
Cry it Out Pro
Television and Infants/Toddlers: Neutral, but what babies watch TV?
Caring for your elderly parents: Neutral; does not apply
Diamonds: Neutral; don't have any

Reborn dolls: Getting one of these dolls for my daughters in place of a baby sister they're begging for; lol Then I'll try to make one
Homosexual orientation/relationships: Go for it!

Scary movies: Fine, but they never scare me! Darnit
Transcultural adoption pro
Drug testing welfare recipients pro
"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc against
Organized religions: Neutral but leaning toward pro for some who need community ties and find it thru this avenue
Mandatory breastfeeding attempts/prescriptions for formula against
Family beds Neutral; doesn't apply to me
TTC on assistance: TOTALLY against!
Infants/toddlers in bikini style swim suits against
Leash backpacks for kids Against; just watch yo kids and teach them right: Exception: SPECIAL NEEDS ONLY
Beauty pageants: Eh, I am not sure

How many kids people should have
As many as they want and can financially support.
Vegetarian/eating meat
I believe eating meat is actually "nicer", as a larger quantity of animals are killed per vegetarian meal than carnivore/omnivore meal. Personal choice, but shouldn't force kids.
gun control
Less for law-abiding citizens, more for criminals.
death penalty
Only when there is irrefutable proof of a seriously heinous crime, like video footage or DNA evidence that can't otherwise be accounted for.
