Abortion
First triamester for. Beyond, only in extreme circumstances.

Drinking age

Should be 18. If someone can get drafted and killed at 18 in war, they should be able to drink.

Political stance

Hard to say. Moderate. I try to look at all sides of an issue.

Selective Service

not sure what this is

Gay marriage

For

Universal pre-k

Hmm... I'm not exactly sure what this is. If it is that all kids should be entitled to pre-k then sure. If it requires them to go to pre-k, that should be up to the parents to decide.

Sex education

Extremely for

Vaccinations

For. I had severe complications from chicken pox that I am still dealing with today. One of my aunts is also paralized from polio and has nerve damage. She needs help doing most of her daily activities. I wouldn't mind a modified schedule.

Sin Tax

not sure what this is

legalization of marijuana

for

Universal Health care

Have trouble with one. I believe that everyone should recieve health care but I can also see the problems with the system that is being implanted.

"performance pay" for teachers

Not sure

war

Well I don't exactly want to go to war but if it is absolutely necessary. I don't support the current war.

Methods of birth control

Whatever works best for each individual couple.

How many kids people should have

Hmm this one is hard. I do have a concern that the world's population just hit 7 billion and what environmental impact this could have in the future. However, if we limited everyone now, social security could be a nightmare in the future. We may have dug ourselves into a hole with this one.

Vegetarian/eating meat

I eat meat but I try my best to support grass fed beef and free range chicken companies. I would like to go vegetarian in the future but it's not possible for me right now.

gun control

against

death penalty

For the most part against. However, I don't mind people such as Ted Bundy or John Wayne Gacy getting fried nor do I have any sympathy for them.

circumcision

very against

Fertility treatments/Assisted reproduction

Fine by me

Assisted suicide

For, everyone should have the right to die with dignity. But I believe only they can make that choice and that everyone should have a living will that should determine if that is what they want.

Illegal Immigrants *not immigration POLICY

Hard one. I don't mind as much if they are here and they work hard (often at jobs that would suck to have) but the ones that are committing serious crimes (murder, abduction) need to be detained. It also isn't fair that many people have to wait to get their Visas and green cards.

Gender Selection

An adult should be able to choose their own gender.

Fat Tax

Against. This isn't fair to those that have a genuine health problem.

Shopping Carts

what's wrong with shopping carts?

Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast

I want to say against but I'd be a hypocrit because I did that through late elementary school all through high school

Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies

against, kids with peanut allergies need to learn to live in a world where people eat peanuts. A no peanut table will work better.

VBACs

If the mother wants it and doctor oks it, then fine

Government involvement in citizens lives

No No NO!

Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves

Hmm... Maybe for kids. ugh this is a hard one.

Unassisted Childbirthing

If it is all cleared by a doctor and the mother's pregnancy is fine, then go for it.

Plastic Surgery

morality wise, I'm against it. I think our culture places too much emphasis on beauty and people, especially women, need to be happy with themselves. The beauty industry disgusts me. I honeslty think people who have had plastic surgery look extremely creepy afterwards. However, it's not my place to tell someone what to do with their body or how to spend their money.

Also, if someone was in an accident and needs part of their face rebuilt, then I am all for it.

Chili (with or without beans)

Chili is awesome

Welfare

I think it needs reform. It's necessary for so many people but I get frusterated with people who abuse the system.

dress codes for school/office

It's up to the school/office. I personally liked having a uniform for school because I never had to worry about what to wear or whether or not I was in style.

Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections

I'd prefer the women to go for vaginal birth but at the end of the day it's her body and her choice.

Introducing solids

for

Car Seats

for

Spanking

Well erm... I got sexual pleasure from being spanked so I'm against it.

Children and Pets

Children need to be supervised around pets, especially if they are small. And they need to be taught how to properly handle and care for a pet.

Nursing in Public

Very for. Nursing is very natural and it's oppressive to tell a woman that she can't nurse in public. Especially since it's ok for a man to walk around topless but not for a woman.

Cry it Out

for

Television and Infants/Toddlers

against. Young kids need to be interacting with their environment.

Caring for your elderly parents

Up to the individual family.

Diamonds

Well I have a diamond engagement ring so...

In-N-Out Burger

Fast food? Sure go ahead and eat it.

Reborn dolls

Not completely sure what this is.

Homosexual orientation/relationships

for

Polyamory

for as long as everyone in the relationship is in the know and fine with it.

Scary movies

Well I'm against telling people what they can and can't put in their movies. Scary movies are often very fun to watch. However, I do think that some go to far, especially those that are in the exploitation category. Cannibal Holocaust had questionable and at times dangerous treatment of the natives involved and I do not like that actual animals were killed on screen. Guinea Pig chronicles was was nothing but a woman being tortued to death in an otherwise pornographic way. A Serbian Film was just disgusting and a bit morally reprehensible. Rape porn films disguised as horror I think are disgusting and extremely sexist. Slasher films with annoying characters that you can't wait to get offed are just dumb. Also, I am against the director treating the actors horribly but that goes for any movie.

Transcultural adoption

for

Drug testing welfare recipients

for.

"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc

It's not my business to tell someone how or what to spend their money on.

Organized religions

I don't support them and I believe that children shouldn't be indoctrinated into religion. I don't mind parents teaching their children religious traditions, but in the end, children should be able to decide for themselves whether or not to follow that religion.

Mandatory breastfeeding attempts/prescriptions for formula

Only if formula is ever found to be dangerous. But then, parents can always hire a wet nurse if that ever is the case.

Family beds

Up to each family. I won't be doing this.

TTC on assistance

Hard one. I think it is more responsible to wait until you are financially stable before starting a family. If it was a mistake, that is one thing. But purposely trying to concieve I can't say that I support.

Infants/toddlers in bikini style swim suits

I am against the sexualization of young girls and very much against sexy swim suits for children.

Leash backpacks for kids

not sure

Beauty pageants

If they were more about talent, I wouldn't mind. But I hate how they make these young girls go through hours of beauty treatment at their young age. I think it sends a wrong message to them that their most important asset is looks which is just another example of the patriarchy oppressing women. And like the swim suit question, I am against the sexualization of young girls.

TV watching for kids under age 2

I would advise against it, but it's not my place to tell parents what to do with their kids. I don't plan to let my kids watch TV until they are 3. I have seen way to many parents put baby einstein movies on repeat play and stick their kids in front of it all day.

These are just my own personal views

Abortion Pro Life.

Drinking age It's 18 where I'm from. I agree with that. 21 seems stupid (can vote, and die in war for your country, but can't have a beer? doesn't makes sense to me)

Political stance I tend to lean towards the party that I feel is least likely to screw over our whole country... it changes election to election

Selective Service like a draft? I hope this never happens again, but if absolutely necessary I'd rather have this than lose our sense of freedom

Gay marriage I think that every human being should be give the same legal rights, but the word marriage is sacred to me (even if it's been destroyed by straight people)

Universal pre-k I don't think it can hurt...

Sex education I believe this should start at home and at a very young age (2 or 3) But schools do have a role to play here as well!

Vaccinations I think it's important to make the best decision for your own family. But be prepared to deal with all consequences

Sin Tax For!

legalization of marijuana I just don't see the point....

Universal Health care Very grateful to have it! wouldn't give it up!

"performance pay" for teachers If it means our kids actually learn something in schools then YES!

war I don't know anybody who likes war, but IMO you're a moron if you don't support the soldiers who fight for us!

Methods of birth control Whatever floats your boat... I don't agree with the Plan B pill however.

How many kids people should have As many as they can love and support in all ways!

Vegetarian/eating meatWish I could be the first (I think there would be many benefits) but I love my chicken and steak!) We do buy free range and organic meats though.

gun control It's a great song by the Trews! Also has it's place, but also can't stop everything

death penalty I'm on the fence.... sometimes I think it would be too harsh, and sometimes I think it wou;dn't be harsh enough.

circumcision I always said that I don't have a penis, so I'd let DH decide what would be best... but after doing more research I'm against it.

Fertility treatments/Assisted reproductionIf that's what works for you go for it!

Assisted suicideA tough one... I know if it was me I'd probably want to die, but it would be difficult!

Illegal Immigrants *not immigration POLICY Should probably be sent back to the country they came from, to start the legal immigration process if they so choose.... except in cases where the country they came from would surely kill them.

Gender SelectionNot cool.

Fat Tax is this different from sin tax?

Shopping Carts Handy!

Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast As a once in a while treat, it's fun! regularly it's a sign of parental neglect

Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies Probably saves a few lives. Non allergy families can survive on PB and J on the weekends!

VBACs Admirable.

Government involvement in citizens lives Sometimes necessary, sometimes creepy

Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves Need to be stricter, especially with children. In some cases, you can help stupid!

Unassisted ChildbirthingIf you can do it go for it! As long as you accept all possible consequences.

Plastic Surgery too expensive!

Chili (with or without beans) Not a fan!

Welfare Has it's place, but is a highly abused system

dress codes for school/office would make a lot of decisions easier every day.

Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections I think it's pretty risky... but again if you are willing to accept the consequences

Introducing solidsI want to exclusively breastfeed until around 1 year, but I'm also like babyled weaning. and introducing foods safely (no honey before 1 yr)

Car Seats are critically important. And parents should be fined HEAVILY if not using properly

Spanking Unnecessary.

Children and Pets Should be supervised when together. Can be very positive relationship

Nursing in Public Go for it!

Cry it Out Unnecessary

Television and Infants/Toddlers Infants no, toddlers older than 2: on occasion-when sick, rainy days

Caring for your elderly parents Not in my immediate plans. If you can do it great, but I don't think it can be a responsibility forced on one child

Diamonds pretty!

In-N-Out Burger We dont have them here...

Reborn dollsCreepy as all get out!

Homosexual orientation/relationshipsThat's the individuals business

Polyamory So not my thing, but if they are all consenting adults, that's their business.

Scary movies ahh Can't handle at all!

Transcultural adoptionNo different than adopting within your own culture!

Drug testing welfare recipientspretty great idea! But I think they'd get farther doing blood alcohol tests

"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc Phone and tv, whatever, but vacations, Pets, vehicles etc.... not cool!

Organized religionsI may not agree with them all, but I always try to be respectful

Mandatory breastfeeding attempts/prescriptions for formula Everyone should do what is best for them

Family beds I think bed sharing can be very dangerous, but I believe that co sleeping has many benefits.

TTC on assistanceIf thats what works for you go for it!

Infants/toddlers in bikini style swim suits I think they are kinda cute, but I worry about proper sun protection. I don't buy the 'pervert' argument. someone with a sick mind would see the same thing with your kids wearing a turtle neck. But I do agree there is a modesty issue, and I don't think little kids need to be that exposed to the sun

Leash backpacks for kidsI think they display a lack of confidence parents have in themseleves and their abilities.

Beauty pageants Setting up children for failure and issues that will take years of therapy to fix!

TV watching for kids under age 2 Against this! Find other activities to interact with your kids, TV under 2 is proven to lead to Adhd and other disorders, and in no way benefits the child.

Abortion
Pro choice. I don't have an issue with people who are personally pro life, but I do tend to take issue to people who are politically pro life.

Drinking age
It is 18 here and I don't see reason to change that.

Political stance
I don't have strong leanings, as far as political parties go (and, I am in Australia) I do vote Greens, even though they are not part of the two party preferred, I just agree with more of their policies than any other political party.

Selective Service
No opinion

Gay marriage
For. Again, I don't care about people who have a personal issue with it, I have an issue with people who take a political stand against it. You can personally be against something on a spiritual, religious or moral level without banning it for everyone who does not have the same stance as you.

Universal pre-k
Not familiar with this

Sex education
Pro. Knowledge is power. There is no logic in ignorance.

Vaccinations
For

Sin Tax
Against

legalization of marijuana
Against for practical reasons. If you legalise marijuana it needs to be regulated as a consumable substance, the same way as tobacco is, the same way alcohol is and so on.

Universal Health care
For. We have public health cover here and it is an amazing thing that I am incredibly grateful for.

"performance pay" for teachers
Against. Too many variables.

war
Necessary evil. I do believe that purpose should be made more common public knowledge, however.

Methods of birth control
What about them? Birth control is awesome.

How many kids people should have
However many they want and can support.

Vegetarian/eating meat
Each to their own. I do take issue to many intensive farming practices, and processing of meat and try to avoid those things. I am pescetarian due to food intolerance and make sure that the seafood I do eat is ethically sourced and not processed junk. However that is my personal choice. I do think that there needs to be more public awareness of "this is where your food comes from" however, and stricter standards of what can be classed as meat and what is really "meat-like substance".

gun control
Coming from Australia, for. I don't believe guns are necessary for your average citizen, however I think in terms of America, where I know this issue is sourced from, it is too engrained in culture for that to be reversed in the near future.

death penalty
Against

circumcision
No opinion

Fertility treatments/Assisted reproduction
Obviously, pro.

Assisted suicide
Pro

Illegal Immigrants *not immigration POLICY
In terms of actual illegal immigrants, people who come over for a holiday, as an example, and do not leave, I do think there need to be tighter ways of regulating.
In terms of asylum seekers, I think, well, Australia's way of dealing, at least, as it is the onyl way I am familiar with, is atrocious. Asylum seekers are not criminals, it is not illegal to seek asylum.

Gender Selection
On the fence. I don't believe it to be harmful however I haven't researched it enough to have formed a decent opinin.

Fat Tax
Against

Shopping Carts
People have an opinion on these? Pro because they are good to carry large quantities of groceries?

Kids drinking soda/eating candy/poptarts for breakfast
Each to their own, I think there is a happy medium. My personal view is that if you are usually eating three good meals a day, a few lollies isn't the end of the world or a treat meal every now and then.

Peanut Butter bans in schools for nut allergies
Pro. Used to work in a school where parents thought that the bans were stupid and still sent their kids to school with peanut butter sandwiches. I think there is a lot of ignorance in terms of contact allergies and I personally have had to put a 6yr old child in an ambulance because one selfish parent though that their child's like of peanut butter was worth more than another child's life. For the record, peanut butter child touched the anaphylactic child's arm with peanut butter on their hands, the food was not consumed.

VBACs
Yeah sure, do what you want.

Government involvement in citizens lives
I think that's too broad to comment on properly.

Seat Belt law/ laws to protect citizens from themselves
Seat belts are good, very pro seat belts.

Unassisted Childbirthing
I believe the option should be there.

Plastic Surgery
Pro over the age of 18 if not for a medical purpose.

Chili (with or without beans)
Yum. Pro chili (is this really a hot topic?)

Welfare
Again, too broad.

dress codes for school/office
Pro. When you are representing an organisation or institution you must look respectable and look the part.

Elective C-sections/elective repeat C-Sections
Pro. Your body your choice.

Introducing solids
Yep, it's good to introduce solids because, you know, when you grow up you can't really live off milk only. I assume this refers to age though? Whenever it is advised or you feel your child is ready, each child is different.

Car Seats
Yep, car seats are good.

Spanking
I believe spanking is situational and not 100% good or 100% bad. Too many grey areas.

Children and Pets
Pro. Wonderful way to teach responsibility (under supervision) and care and compassion for other creatures, not just other human beings.

Nursing in Public
Pro. It's eating.

Cry it Out
Each to their own, again, grey areas.

Television and Infants/Toddlers
No opinion. I don't believe television is bad as long as it is age appropriate.

Caring for your elderly parents
Good idea.

Diamonds
Ethically sourced, pro.

In-N-Out Burger
Don't know it

Reborn dolls
I had to google this. Well, they are good for acting purposes I guess. I do understand the argument in regards to grieving though, I do not see the benefit of anything that hinders or prevents the natural healing process.

Homosexual orientation/relationships
Pro, wonderful, the more love in the world the better we are

Polyamory
Pro, again, love, good thing

Scary movies
If you like them then good for you

Transcultural adoption
Pro

Drug testing welfare recipients
Anti because I see little benefit to the purpose. Until the government is willing to find rehabilitation and help for people who turn up positive, I will be against it.

"Luxuries" on welfare- vacation, designer accessories, upscale phones, TV w/cable, etc
If you can make the little money you get work that way, then good for you and teach me.

Organized religions
Anti, generally. I don't understand the teaching of spirituality, you can't teach it, it needs to be developed within yourself. I don't take issue to people who identify as one religion, however I do take issue to religious institutions influence in politics.

Mandatory breastfeeding attempts/prescriptions for formula
Anti

Family beds
If you can sleep that way, good on you, we have blanket/sheet, moving and space issues with just two of us.

TTC on assistance
Whatever you choose, if you can make it work then fine

Infants/toddlers in bikini style swim suits
I don't understand the point, because the top is just going to ride up and be uncomfortable anyway, but I don't have an opinion really.

Leash backpacks for kids
If it's going to keep them safe then fantastic. My little brother loved cars when he was a toddler, wanted to run up to them and touch them, I was school age, so I heard and understood all the judgement my mother got for it, but my brother was never run over by a car, there is your benefit.

Beauty pageants
Anti, don't see the point. A silly, fickle hobby.

TV watching for kids under age 2
I don't think it's the most harmful thing in the world.

Abortion
pro life.

Drinking age
like 45!

Political stance
republican/conservative.

Selective Service
voluntary

Gay marriage
against. love you who you love, i just don't believe in recognizing the marriage through the eyes of God.

Universal pre-k
eh. for i suppose.

Sex education
we need it. BADLY. much much more in schools.

Vaccinations
i vaccinate. but i guess i don't really worry if others do or don't.

Sin Tax
for. in times of recession, all the sin stocks are booming.

legalization of marijuana
eh. i say no, but again not really anything i've taken a hard stance on.

Universal Health care
i say yes for those working/working households. i'm not bashing SAHM or anything, i'm talking about those welfare people. i see those people a lot attempt insurance fraud and it's frustrating.

"performance pay" for teachers
absolutely. some teachers just phone it in, then wonder why the kids aren't learning.

war
eh. historically it can do wonders for an economy, but it breeds hate and many senseless acts of violence that result in innocent deaths happen.

Methods of birth control
any and all. i believe in not letting the men control our sexual health.

How many kids people should have
i suppose i really haven't thought about it. i don't think people should keep popping out kids to get more state/government assistance, though.

Vegetarian/eating meat
do what you feel right.

gun control
