Tell us your funny stories about when your kids swore for the first time.
(we'll just pretend it was only at the playground they learned it from.)

Well actually come to think of it.. my oldest daughter Abby just swore for the first time a couple days ago. I came in the house and I guess she had gotten in trouble with her dad. She came up to me and looked me square in the eyes and said.. Daddy is being an a** mom. I looked at her like where did you learn that!

We were visiting my mother (Mimi to the grandkids), Macey was around 20 months old, she was climbing on the couch and my mother told her, repeatedly, to get down. Finally my mother physically removed her from the couch and firmly said "NO" to her. Macey turned away, walking to me and said "Mimi b1tch" ....my mother just froze!! After I regained my compusure and wiped the tears from my face I talked to her about that "bad bad word"....but I had to give her credit in the back of my head, my mom can be a b1tch...JK!!

Just last week! I was asking my 2 year old if she wanted my help getting dressed after her bath (she is very independent and stubborn!) and she looked right at me and said "No, dumba$$, not now." I didn't know what to do or say! My 14 year old started laughing and I did too! Then we talked about that being a bad word...She also uses "dammit" now and then, and correctly might add. My 4 year old finds it hilarious and will whisper to her to say it again when we told her she couldn't say it.

With my DD is was when she was almost 8 years old. We were at Cedar Point and she was on one of those rides that flip you upside down, The girl she was on the ride with yelled "oh sh*t" and my daughter followed right behind her saying it.
With my older DS, who was 4 at the time, we were at my grandmother's. I hate the word "pee", I would rather them use the word potty, bathroom, restroom, etc. But he told me "mom I have to go pee." I said "what?" He repeated it again and I said "what?" again, then he said "I have to take a piss." We were speechless!
My younger DS is a parrot and one day we were driving, looking for a place. We passed it and my DH said "oh f&%@." Of course CJ had to follow daddy & say it.
I do let my kids cuss ONLY when singing along, especially with Jimmy Buffett. My mom let us when we were kids and I guess it is sort of tradition. But they know they are not allowed to cuss any other time and does really good with it.
Edited for errors I made

Bean did it at the wedding yesterday. I was humiliated but we all laughed over it at the same time. Everyone knew where she had heard it.
Marty just bought a new cell phone and has had the hardest time figuring it out (he got the new Razr phones from Verizon with Bluetooth and V-Cast). So hes been cussing that thing like crazy when he cant get it to do what he wants it to do. So last night we're at the reception, and someone asked him about his new camera (which he cant figure out either). Anyway, they asked him something about how to work it, and Bean pipes up and goes, "He doesnt know...he cant even figure out his f***ing phone!"
I wanted to crawl in a hole when that popped out.

I don't have any kids yet (i'm due in OCT) but I wanted to share the story of the 1st time my younger brother was caught using swear words.
My mom was cleaning our house, I was 12 years old and my brother was 6 years old. He was outside in the yard playing and my mom walked up to an open window to clean it or something and she heard my little brother standing outside the window saying out loud every single swear word you can imagine. It was like he just wanted to hear what it sounded like coming from his mouth, or like he was practicing. Now at the time she didn't find it very funny and I don't remember exactly what she did to him as punishment, but this story is a classic in our family now.

Oh I forgot to add something in there about CJ....we took him to his speech therapy assessment back in January. We were trying to get him to talk but the only thing that came out of hos mouth was "s&%t". At first it was funny and even the lady assessing him was trying not to laugh, then we were embarrassed. Right after that, we figured we needed to clean up our mouths and now he doesn't really cuss unless he is repeating daddy, who I keep yelling at to clean it up.

Raine's first swearing experience was from listening to maxtrax's hit list. I listen to a lot of heavy metal, but I figure that can't be so good for her all the time, so will put it on that station and leave it there while we're home. One day she was playing with her toys in the living room and I went in and asked her what she was doing...she said "Ohhhh this my sh*t, this my sh*t" (Hollaback girl) I didn't know whether to laugh or be angry.
We don't listen to that station anymore
She has used the word again on a few occassions, but only after hearing Daddy say it. Now she just tells him "Not nice words Daddy!"
