Baby Signing

Do you plan on teaching your baby to use sign language?

Yes! We start about 5 months or so. All my kids could sign as infants, though Olivia really never took to it like the other two did. It helped the frustration level so much! Logan signed until he was 3 or so. If he had his mouth full of food or something he would sign to talk.

Yep, we both know ASL and have used it with both our kids. They know, more, milk, help, thank you, mom and dad the best. They know some other random ones and we've started working through the alphabet with DD.

Yes, I have children with autism and speech delays so the earlier we start communication the better. Signing Time (and Baby Signing Time) are great teaching videos too by the way.

We have Scarlett who is a 3, and Beau 20m just failed his M-Chat so we are hitting signing really hard here. We love the signing time videos. My three year old is eating them up and signing everything.

She knew some basic signs as a baby. Beau doesn't communicate much and I bet Tessa starts signing soon.

I tried it with Dominic, but I guess I didn't do it consistently enough or something because he never really caught on. He understood my signs, but he never signed back so I got frustrated and gave up. I haven't decided if I will try it with this one.
