Lasagna (crock pot)
1 pound ground chuck
1/2 pound Itaian sausage
1 large onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
2-4 cloves garlic, minced
1 package lasagna noodles
12oz ricotta or cottage cheese (low or no fat is fine)
12 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
2/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Marinara (Didn't say amount, I used 2 jars of Newman's own)
Mix sausage with ground beef (remove from casings if using link sausage). Cook the meat with onion and pepper in a large skillet until meat is lightly browned, about 10-15 min. Add garlic during last 5 in of cooking. Drain excess fat. Mix cooked meat mixture with marinaa.
Spoon a small amount of meat/sauce mixture in bottom of crockpot to cover. Follow this with a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles. Break noodles to fit and don't worry about perfect layers. Top noodleswith layer of meat/sauce. Follow this with a thin layer of ricotta or cottage cheese, then sprinkle with parmesan and mozzarella. Continue layering until you reach the top of the slow cooker or run out of ingredients. Cook on low 6 to 8 hours.
Now I only used maybe a half box of lasagna noodles, before i ran out of the other stuff. I only got 2 layers. I used a 15 oz tub of ricotta and it wasn't even enough for 2 full layers
So I guess just use this as a basis and change it how you want. I would probably use less meat next time and more of the cheeses and noodles.
