i didn't know i had real issues with my back until i was in a serious car accident... while in the hospital they did every test imaginable (CAT, MRI, etc. etc.) and aside from the injuries from the accident they noted on my file that i have spondylolysis and possible degenerative disc disease (yikes!

). up until then i had felt twinges and pain in my back but i had always thought that i had just done something incorrectly while working out (i didn't think much of it although it was obviously uncomfortable).
95% of the time i feel fine and don't feel pain in my back but if i push myself too hard (whether it be exercise, household chores, etc.) i definitely feel the repercussions. for whatever reason mopping REALLY brings it out... what a great excuse to have DH mop for me!
i was worried about TTC and how my back will handle the extra weight for 9 months but my specialist told me not to worry about it and that i shouldn't have any more back pain than an average pregnant woman

. i'm just hoping he's right and that he didn't say that to make me feel better...
i'm curious to hear of other women with existing back problems who've gone through pregnancy and what their experience was like...
