Does anyone have Guinea Chicks? They're to kill bugs/ticks/snakes?

We have a ton of all of that here so we're looking into getting some Guinea Chicks and letting them just roam so they can get their bellies full.

We had some last year but they took off. Dh wants to get some more because they eat ticks like crazy which we also have a lot of here. We had ducks because they love ticks too but the darn raccoons or something got them. I want to get more of both, I hate ticks with a passion!

We have tons of ticks here. We have to do daily tick checks, it's horrible!

Chickens are just as good at keeping the ticks at bay, and they aren't as loud, annoying, or flighty as Guineas. Our neighbor at the end of the road used to have Guineas, and even though he is 1/4 mile away, we could still hear them. SO loud. We have chickens, and we only get ticks on very rare occasions. DS is outside ALL the time, and he never gets ticks.
