Does anyone know a good way to get socks really white again? I've tried bleach but our socks (mostly Dh and Keith's) still look dirty.

Do you dry outside? The sun bleaches items. Have you tried vinegar?

I would soak the socks in lemon juice, then hang outside to dry, then wash again. The combo of sun and lemon juice is better than bleach. I ordered some cloth diapers that had some massive stains on them. They came completely out with this method, and after I was done they looked brand new.

THat's such a great idea! I've never tried that for bleaching clothes. I've used vinegar to disinfect and for bumps and bruises, but I've never used lemon juice instead of bleach!
