50 Shades of Grey Baby Clothing

Thought I would post this here, because I'm not sure if I'm disturbed by this just because I hated the books or whether it's just creepy in general.

Thoughts?

"50 Shades Of Grey" Products For Kids

:yuck: I find the ones about pretending Christian Grey is the farther particularly distasteful. If reading smut gets you in the mood, I don't think there is anything wrong with that. But it's a personal thing other people don't need to know about it. This to me is like Daddy putting the child in a onesie that said something like "I'm the product of *insert porn site here*" or "Daddy pretends my mommy is Porn Star".

I don't find stuff like that a problem.

Makes it even better that he was crabby when I took the picture lol

If you don't like them, don't buy them.

Not offended in the least. To each their own I say ;)

I'm not fond of the whole granny porn thing, but if it tickles your pickle, more power to ya.

My kids have had all kinds of clothing over the years someone is likely to be offended by. Shrugs.

I think the curse word one was funny but the Grey one is just gross. "9 months ago, my parents had kinky sex and produced me".

Or how about, "My dad pretends my mom is the babysitter"?

I don't know, I don't think I'd put my kid in anything that referenced what kind of sex I had. It's a little weird, even if it is also kinda funny.

not offended, but I just couldn't get through the books, and would not put it on my kiddos.

that said.. they cast Ian Somerhalder as Christian Grey in the movies... and I just might watch it. I'm not sure even bad writing can ruin that man.

Agree.

Not offended, but it has an ick factor to me & I'd never put it on my kid. I don't think everything has to be ponies & bugs & trucks & butterflies or it's "wrong". I just think making references to your libido or sex life via your child's onsie is iffy & maybe alittle trashy looking to me. There are plenty of humorous ones I think are hysterical & they have strong language & such...but again, that isn't normally about the parent's sex life.

Yes, 'trashy' is exactly the right word for it. You're not going to ruin your kids life or anything, but you are revealing your poor taste.

I haven't read the books -- disclaimer -- maybe they're super good, I don't know.

Yes exactly it's the sex thing that makes it distasteful to me. Children wearing or talking about their parent's sex lives skives me out in general. I don't like these ones either. Pretty much all of the baby clothes on this site are going to be offensive to somebody but the others ones don't bother me so much. I just feel like basically all people want to stay ignorant of their own conception and while the baby won't care now, they might later when they see pictures. I think most of the other "bad" clothes the children might also find funny when they're older.

The daddy's little squirt one is cute. Everyone here started from a sperm and an egg. Well, at least I assume all of us did, if not then you should get back to your scientific testing lol

I have already come to the conclusion that our child will likely have a drawer of onesies & T-shirts from tshirthell.com...it's probably my husbands fav site to browse. I don't find most of them funny...but some are pretty hilarious (even if they are a bit offside).

I love "Daddy's little squirt"!! lol
I wouldn't take our kid in public with it on, but around the house, or to a friends place...absolutely!

I say to each their own....

Oh, and I think I'm in the minority (here anyway)...but I totally got into FSOG. Read all 3 books in less than 2 weeks!

I read a lot, like at least 1 book a week and I work full time, gone 12 hours a day. I can honestly say I never felt like any book was a waste of time until 50 shades of grey. It was honestly the most horrible thing I've ever read. I always thought it was near impossible to get a booked published. Doesn't seem that way anymore. So horribly written.

I don't have much interest in reading the series. I'm struggling through Life of Pi right now actually, I'm about ready to give up. Spent $7 on the stupid thing too.. boo

i think they are funny...although i probably wouldn't go as far to get the ones that say the stuff about the pretending he's the daddy or anything....but the product of 50 shades of grey? pretty funny and cute...and really no different then the onesie i bought for helena that says "my little tax deduction"

i did read the books...they weren't great by any means...but they were just books

Life of Pi is awesome! But the very, very best part (what makes the whole book worth reading, actually) is on, like, the last page, lol. So don't give up!
