For those planning a water birth?

Where are you planning to set up your birthing pool? I really hadn't wanted to put mine smack dab in the middle of the livingroom, but honestly I think it is the only place it will fit.

Last time we just used our own tub - we have a garden tub and it was big enough but the bathroom was pretty small for all those people. This time we are renting the midwife's tub and I'll probably set it up in our bedroom since that is where I tend to want to labor.

I wish I could set it up in our bedroom, but we have an old house and all the bedroooms are just too small. I am trying to think of other ideas. If I ever could get my basement finished off I could put it there. Hmm, maybe I will set to work on that as a pregnancy project, lol. My dh will be so thrilled :D.

mine was pretty much in the middle of our front room (kind of a living room/dining room combo), and right in front of our front door which made it interesting going i and out  no other option for us

We set ours up in the living room. My bedroom didn't have the room for it.

Mine was smack dab in the middle of our living room haha. I could have put it in the basement but we only have one bathroom and I wasn't walking up and down a flight of stairs to use it.

here is ours being set up. excuse my face, it was a contraction haha

We have a big garden/jacuzzi tub and our bathroom should be big enough.

I had mine in our living room as well. This time, I'm determined to have it set up in our bedroom... We have moved since Kate was born, and we have a larger bedroom, so I'm pretty confident that we'll be able to fit in in there.

We're planning on setting it up smack dab in the living room! Our house is only 700 sq ft. so that's the only place it will fit.

We had ours in the dining room of our tiny apartment only place it would fit. We put the dining table against the wall.

I just has a large kiddie pool and I set it up in our bedroom. We had the room and I wanted to make sure if I had to get out to deliver I could jump right on the bed....thank God I had it next to the bed because as soon as I delivered Ben's head my midwife ordered me out because of the cord issue cutting off his oxygen. So, I was in the water a total of 5 minutes!

I am going for right in the middle of the living room. My house is small and I am really comfortable in the living room! But nothing definite until I am in labor. I pity my neighbors if I decide to labor outside!

I'll be putting it in the dinning room.
