If you had

a previous birth that involved shoulder dystocia would you have a/another homebirth?

If you were a midwife would you allow a patient of yours to try? Even if the hospital was far from the home?

Re: If you had

My son had a slight shoulder dystocia. His was not severe by any stretch of the imagination. That being said, I am planning a homebirth this time. I was upfront with my midwife as well as she got copies of my medical records from the birth. She doesn't see any reason why I can't have a homebirth.

If I had a severe dystocia I am not sure I would homebirth. If I just had sticky shoulders, I probably would. It is a tough one.
