Books, videos, etc to help get DP on board..

My DP is ok with me having a home birth, but he's still completely clueless (and I mean that in the sweetest way possible) on the whole reasoning behind my choice, what to expect for labor and delivery in general, what to expect with a home birth, etc. We have talked about it some, and he's supportive but still curious and confused. (He's a first time dad as well)

I don't want to just tell him my opinions and what not, but I also don't want to come across as preaching to him or being pushy. I would like to watch videos with him - educational ones, home birth videos, etc. and read books, journals, articles, etc.

Any recommendations?

So far I have picked a few videos from youtube to watch with him - and he's scared. lol. He doesn't do well with the gory part- so I've picked ones that don't show close up of the actual birth, lol.

Any help is greatly appreciated ladies!!!

What really helped my husband was just attended my midwife appointments. Our 3rd baby was our hb baby but he had been deployed for our older 2 children's births. So it was a new experience all around. But being at the appointments and asking his own questions and really being an active participant was so helpful.

we watched the business of being born, and i also found having him at the MW with me helped him to be more comfortable. He got to know the women who would be attending and see that they knew what they were doing (his words not mine)
