Convincing DH

Did you have to convince your DH/SO to have a home birth or was he always on board?

ya kinda, at first he was against it because he didnt know if it would be safe or not, i think he was just worried something would happen. I think he eventually just got tired of "arguing" it with me but after he met our MW and talked about HB and what ifs he was fine, now after having 2 kids at home he tells everyone how great it is, cause he doesnt have to pack up and go anywhere or pay for parking :P

This is Kyle! Now that we have had two, he talks about them with a lot of people. He even told his boss he encapsulated a placenta.

Re: Convincing DH

We talked a lot about natural birthing with dd1 and over the years it just naturally led to homebirthing. Now we cannot imagine having a hospital birth at all. It's as absurd to me (for me) as the thought of homebirthing was absurd to me when I became pregnant years ago for the 1st time.

Funny how things change ;)

LOL and I have to add after reading the comments: Even though DH has never said a lot, there is a lot going on inside his head. With our first homebirth if someone brought it up he'd be the first to start explaining how safe it is etc... and it totally shocked me!
