Hello,
I'm Gina, I introduced myself a few months ago. I found out yesterday that I'm pregnant, due October 29th, so I thought I'd stop back in, reintroduce and start more intensively learning about home birth. I've been talking with a great midwife who does home births in our area. My biggest concern at this point is carrying to term. DS was born 5-6 weeks early, and if I have a repeat of preterm labor, I get transfered to an OB. The midwife says she doesn't think I have any reason to assume I'll go early again, but we really don't know why I went preterm last time. Anyhow, I'll be sticking around here for a while and look forward to getting to know all of you a little better.

Hi and congratulations on your new pregnancy! My oldest was born at 25 weeks, but the next four came perfectly healthy and full term, so your mw is good to reassure you that it won't necessarily happen again. Take good care, Mama!

Welcome aboard :)

I have a friend who went early about 6 weeks, and went longer with the 2nd (both hospital births) but is planning a birthing center birth for her 3rd ;)

Stick around - I think everything will go great. I would however, try to put a lot of focus on good nutrition & supplements. Alfalfa is supposed to be very good for strengthening the bag of waters & preventing premature rupture of membranes ;)

Welcome! I'm sure you'll be fine, seeing a medwife rather than an ob will be much better, they tend to put more emphasis on keeping you really healthy, maintaining good nutrition etc. So glad to see you back here, and congratulations on your pregnancy!
