What is it appropriate to call your midwife?
What is a reasonable time frame to expect her to call you back?

I called 2 days ago for an appointment and have not heard back.

Now to the first question. This is a pregnancy after 3 losses. I am anxious to hear a heartbeat. I am 8 weeks today and we heard my daughter's at 8 weeks exactly. So I know it is possible but not a guarantee.
Is it okay to call her again today to see if she can get me in for a heartbeat check? She has a partner that I would be willing to have check too (thus not bothering my midwife as much).

My 8 week appointment is the appointment I am trying to get for next week. BUt I am getting really anxious to hear that heartbeat. Or at least get some reassurance.

I'd call back without hesitation! Let us know about the heartbeat!!!

Is it possible for you to rent a doppler online so that you can hear it without her?

I have a doppler coming on Monday. I'm just getting really stressed about that heartbeat. Now of course, at 8 weeks there are no guarantees of hearing a heartbeat with a doppler.

I called her back and got through. She couldn't have me come up yesterday, she was on her way to a birth. I can understand that! LOL.
She said to try back this weekend. I am trying to decide if I can wait until Monday.

Oh, I have my appoint scheduled. :)
