How many times are you being woken at night?

How many times is your wee bubba waking you at night?

I try to have Ben in bed by 7.30pm - 8pm every night and do a dream feed at 10 - 10.30pm. I had three night in a row were he only woke me up twice between then and 6.30am, but last night he woke me 4 times again. I know not to expect too much as he's only 2.3 weeks old, but I feel like we are heading in the right direction! His brother was waking me up 5-6 times a night at this point!

He wants to be fed around 1 or 2 am. But I don't wake up for that I just pop a boob out and we both stay asleep pretty much. Then he's up at 630 with me and the kids to get them ready for school.

Sometimes I don't even get to bed until 3:00 a.m. Pippa cluster feeds often.

Most nights, I have Adalyn asleep between 8-9pm. . . She usually sleeps for a 3 hour stretch then (wears herself out during her fussy hour). Usually around 11/11:30 I'll do a dream feed and then get to sleep myself. Sometimes I can get another 3 hour stretch out of her, but usually it's just a 2 hour. . . Then she wakes up every 2 hours after that, sometimes I can get one more 3 hour stretch at the end of the night.

I feed Anna around 7pm, then put my toddler to bed.
She wakes up around 11pm, then at 3am, the 3am feeding is a long one that usually involves pooping :P so I don't get back to sleep until 4am

She is woken up by my toddler usually at 6:30 I'm not sure how long she would sleep in the morning if he didn't demand to hug and poke her as soon as he is up :P

Re: How many times are you being woken at night?

Carlie cluster feeds (eats 15 on one side, looks around for 15, eats 15 other side, looks around for 15 and so on) from 9-11 ish. Last night it was 8:30-10:30 then she normally sleeps 5-6 hours, last night was 7 hours! When she wakes up and is back asleep before 5 I get to go back to sleep with her, any later than 5 and I stay up (have to be up at 6 for big kids) so most nights I dont get interrupted but I only get 5-6 hours of sleep.

well she was giving me a good 4 hour stretch and then cluster feeding from 2 or 3 to about 7am. It was lovely. Now she's going about 20 to 30 minutes between wanting to nurse (and she's awake for half that time) all night except for two 1 hour stretches...one of which I didn't even get to sleep through. I'm almost ready to see if she'll take a dummy if it means i can get even a couple hours of uninterrupted sleep

Miss Pippa slept 6 hours last night! I had to get up to pump, but this is becoming a habit for her.

He wakes 1-2 times a night. Such a blessing, and so different from my last experience where my baby never slept longer than 45 mins at a time.

He goes to bed between 7 and 8. Wakes around 1 to feed and wakes for the day around 5:30. I usually put him on the boob at 5:30 and snooze while he nurses till I'm ready to wake up.

He always has a stretch from 9/9:30 - 12, I should sleep then but I usually watch tv :P. Then its about 2-2.5 hour blocks from there till the morning. We usually get out of bed around 7/8...later if it was a bad night!

Can't wait till he starts sleeping a bit longer.

Michaela seems to want to feed 2-3 times in the evening between 8pm and 11pm. She'll then go til about 2am, and then again til about 6am, but some nights are worse than others. Last night was a lot fussier.

Paxton gets fussy and tired around 8. I nurse him to sleep and hold him while Bobby gets Harper in bed. When she's bathed and in bed watching Pooh I change him, put pj's on him, and get ready for bed myself. Then I either sit up and nurse him and try to get him in the rock n play or lie down and side nurse so I can go to sleep immediately. He wakes up once, sometimes twice so we switch sides and go back to sleep. Sometimes he's a bit gassy and I'll ne up for about an hour until he gets it out. Luckily he's stopped pooping in the middle of the night.

Summer has been sleeping pretty well. While it varies, most nights she sleeps 11pm till 5am. Wakes for a feeding, typically doesn't go back to sleep until 6:30 or 7... but then will sleep till about 10pm. The times aren't always the same, but the pattern is. 6hour stretch, then 3hours once she's fed and content again.

*this is not true for last night LOL I think her 6 week spurt is here ;)

Re: How many times are you being woken at night?

If I can get him to bed by 9, then he'll only wake up twice after that... usually. Last night, I laid him down at 9pm. He woke up at midnight. I put him back down at 1am. And he woke up again at 4am. Sometimes I can get him to go back to sleep for another hour or two after that.

Other nights, though, he wants to be up every hour or two.

Harper goes to bed at about 8-9 and wakes up at about 230 and we dream feed then she will wake at about 5-6, 9-10.

Re: How many times are you being woken at night?

Depending on when he wants to feed, we both usually go to sleep anywhere between 8-11 and then he wakes me somewhere between 1-4 depending on when he went to sleep and then I'm usually up by 8-9 with him for the rest of the morning.

For instance, last night I fed him around 9:30 and we both were sleeping by 10:30. He didn't wake me up until 3:50 this morning but then he didn't feed well and I don't think either of us were back to sleep before 5:30. Then he slept until 9:15 and we've been up since, though he just fell asleep after lunch. This started around 4 weeks and my public health nurse told me that its normal for them to get their circadian rhythm around this time, meaning longer sleeping at night and more wakeful during the day.

She "usually" gets fed anywhere from 9-10pm and then only gets up once usually around 4:30ish and then goes back down until at least 7:30am or later. :)

Re: How many times are you being woken at night?

She's usually asleep around 10, then up at midnight or shortly after, then between 2-3, and finally around 6-7. She still does her longest stretches during the day.

He goes to sleep between around 11 and then is up at 3 and 7 and then 9. Lots of exceptions to that though.

Re: How many times are you being woken at night?

Emily goes to sleep around 11 and usually wakes around 2 or 3 to eat again and then again at 6. Last night she actually made it from 11:30 to 5:30 and I was ecstatic! Since I start work on Monday, I'm hoping we can have more nights like that.
