Baby Orajel?

So, Kyah just cut her first tooth :D It broke through Thursday night. She has been fussy at different times over the past week or so and DH blames it on the tooth. I don't think it is the tooth...but idk for sure. He bought some baby Orajel. I just feel like she doesn't really need it. I put a tiny bit on her gum but it didn't stop the fussiness.

Have you used baby Orajel?

Do you think it is appropriate?

Is it even for after the tooth broke through the gums?

If she made it through the tooth breaking through without Orajel, I would think she probably doesn't need it now! I obviously have never used it, but I have heard some "yikes!" stuff about it like the possibility of it numbing the baby's throat and becoming a choking hazard. If you don't think she needs it, I'd probably skip it. I would be more inclined to give a little Tylenol if her teeth are really bothering her and you know that's the problem.

Ive never used it either and have also herd different things about it, one friend swears by it and another hates it lol. honestly I probaly wont use it for Matthew once hes teething. I think its alsomorement for before the tooth breaks the gum, thats the painful part of teething from what ive read anyways lol

I love the teething tablets and they work great. When Brady was cutting his 2nd tooth he held it on the swollen area until it desolved and it really seemed to bring him relief.

And wanted to add that as soon as his tooth broke through (both of them) the fussing stopped 100%.
