Clotting question

I am 9 days PP and just passed a blood clot the size of the thumb. I hadn't really had any clots except the really tiny pea size ones. I'm still bleeding some, but nothing like in the beginning.

Is this size of a clot normal?? My doctor's office is closed for the weekend.

Re: Clotting question

My doctor said not to worry unless you pass a clot the size of a golf ball, then call them. So I'm pretty sure you don't need to worry.

Re: Clotting question

I am still passing some the size of a nickel - 3 weeks pp. Often times when I have a bm - with any strain. :tmi: CLeaning the house also brings them on.

I also had clots for a good 3 weeks PP. Mine were also brought on by too much physical activity.

I'm also still getting nickel size clots at almost 2 weeks post partum. Just keep an eye on it, but it's a good sign that your bleeding has decreased

Re: Clotting question

I'm 4 weeks PP and still having some light bleeding (although mine had lightened up to a tan color and now it's red again), I occasionally have clots about the size of my thumb. My doctor also said clots are normal until they get golf ball size. I was still bleeding pretty heavily at 9 days PP. Sounds like you're right on track.
