If only...

Have you ever heard the phrase "walk a mile in someone's shoes"? Who would you like to walk a mile in your shoes to realize all that you do and go through in your life? Who would it be? Your husband? Parent? Child? Ex'es? Tell us who you would like to walk a mile in your shoes!!

my two sisters. They're both in their 50's, they each only had two kids, Anna had her two 13 years apart by choice, and Helen had her's 7 years apart, not by choice. The youngest of those four is now 23 years old. My sisters have no idea what I go through each day, and are very unrealistic in how my household runs with no help from family, and they are unwilling to help except if I beg. I really wish they could be here for me, my mom would be if she were alive.

My "SO", I wish he could have to deal with himself, work my job (he swears it isn't hard work), do the majority of all housework and childcare, manage everyone's schedule, and just be the all for everyone.

My FIL he thinks I am fat and lazy and that I couldn't possibly know anything about raising kids because I am only 28.

My sister. She thinks being married is a walk in the park and if you are married your dh rubs your feet every night, and massages your back. I am not even kidding. She thinks no one ever thinks badly about you if you are a mom and that moms look down on people without kids. She says stuff like "Well, if you just put your remote in the right place it would never go missing" Good luck to her after 24 hours of being me

And maybe DH, specifically when I have PMS/pregnancy hormones and he asks "but what is wrong? I can't understand how you could be sad and not know why, it makes no sense" Or maybe when I have those "just one more" feelings so he knows how strong it feels on my end. ANd of course just to understand all hte little things I do that no one notices that make the show run smoothly..(or smoothish ;) )

But at the end of the day I like being me quite a bit and I would certainly want to be me again after a full 24 hours!!

I wish the school nurse could walk in my shoes and the Superintendent could walk in Alyssa's. Maybe that would show them what living with diabetes is truly like since they don't want to take our word for it.

It's a tie between brother in law and father in law. Father in law thinks that because I am fairly organized that it's a snap for me to run this household smoothly, he has NO idea how much work 5 kids is. And brother in law because he is forever saying how much work theirr child is and how busy and tired his wife is. Granted, the little fella is autistic, he is a lot of work, but if I compare to how many times sister in law goes out, how many tv shows she keeps up with and that she has a housecleaner (she's THAT busy) it comes no where near to how much I have to do. And that is fine, but they just go on and on and on about it.

It would be a tie for me. My dh needs to do "what I do" for a day. He would never make it. I would also like my sister to try having four kids so she can stop telling me how tired my neice makes her. (She's two!!!) I probably thought one kid made me tired too ~ but just give it a rest already.

DH...without a doubt!!! I swear the man thinks the kids only act up when he's home and are perfect Angels for me when he's not. And he has no idea the amount of work it takes to keep this house looking like a tornado just went through it and NOT like a tornado, hurricane, and earthquake tag teamed each other all day long through our house LOL He's never had all 4 kids alone... he's only had the 3 "big" kids alone maybe 4 times tops... he's NEVER taken the 3 older kids anywhere by himself. I'd LOVE for him to really see what being up all night, getting up at 6:30am, NOT getting a nap, preschool homework, taking all 4 kids out to pick up Noah from preschool, remembering EVERYTHING, having to find the answer to EVERYTHING because your spouse can't seem to make a decision on ANYTHING and keeping up with housework, bills, 4 kids, breakfast, lunch, dinner, doctor/dentist/eye appointments for 6 people is like... but he has to do it all while I sleep in our bedroom (like he does since he's on night shift now) and then when I wake up I complain that yeah.. I might have been in there sleeping for like 8 or 9 hours, but with the way I sleep it really should only count like 3 (yes he said that to me when I'm getting 3 hours of sleep a day MAX). MAN I'd love for him to actually get first hand experience of all that I do and how it's not a walk in the park.
