Hi, been meaning to join this board
 
I've never really posted here but I could use some support. I'm trying to get in shape. I am using Body for Life's program and I've made a commitment to workout for 12 weeks. I will hopefully keep going after that but this is my first goal. I don't need to lose weight. I may end up gaining weight, but I'm not sure. My goal is to look better and feel better, not weight loss. Anyway, I hope I get to know you all better and I'll try to stick around.

Hi and Welcome!! I'm Melissa, mom to Jackson 3 and Jacob 9 months. Body for Life is a great program. Do you have the body for life cookbook? The chicken parm recipe in there is one of my absolute favorites.

No, I don't. My sister told me about body for life and it looked perfect for me so I decided to go for it. This week is my third week of working out.

I don't know anything about Body for Life. Well, except now I know that there is a cookbook. ;) Is it a workout program? What are the workouts like?

Yes, I am using their workout program as a guide. Here's a link.
Body-for-LIFE Weight Training
I am doing a full body workout every other day instead of breaking it up. That is easier for me to keep up with and I think I will get better results.
Then I'm doing about 30 minutes of cardio (either treadmill or something else, yesterday I did walking and stair climbing) every other day.

My goal is to get in 3 strength training days and at least 2 cardio days, but I'm really trying for 3 cardio as well.
