Two Tips Tuesday: Share your tips!!!
 
Share two of your tips for losing weight, exercising, or eating right, or staying motivated, pretty much any mommy weightloss/fitness tips you have!

Here are my two tips.

Tip 1: Track your progress. Take pictures, measurements, logs, anything to help you keep track of what you are doing. You don't always "see" the results but when you compare pictures or look at your logs you can see how far you have come.

Tip 2: Come here every day. I swear when I don't visit this board I don't stay on track. You ladies are my motivation!

Tip 1 - figure out what a real portion is (huge for me)
Tip 2 - if you can, workout in the morning, it gives an energy boost during the rest of the day

Set goals. Small goals leading up to the big "prize" will help motivate you because you have a set goal. Meeting those smaller goals along the way will help you feel like you are accomplishing something and making progress.

1. Drink a glass of water when you feel like you need a snack.
2. Reward yourself for meeting your goals, even if it is just something small...give yourself something to look forward to that isn't how your body looks or what the number is on the scale.

Those are all great tips!

1. Have a specific goal. "Lose some weight" is too general to be a true goal; "be a size 8" (or whatever) is a specific, measurable goal. If necessary, break your goals into smaller goals to help keep yourself motivated.

2. Keep records of what you're doing and the results you're getting; compare and re-evaluate regularly. Never make assumptions that something will work for you just because it worked for somebody you know or because it is recommended by experts.

I love these tips ladies!!

1. Substitute lower fat options in place of higher fat foods. Seasoning your food helps too.

2. Find a type of exercise that you actually enjoy. If you don't like it, you won't do it.
