This seems like a bad precedent to me. I know he signed an agreement but they apparently have no relationship. I would never do something like this to my dad. I have always paid my own way in life.

I went and read a bunch of comments on other stories about this just trying to get a feel for what people thought about this. As far as legal things go, he signed a contract so that changes things. I still think it's a bit screwed up for the girl to do but legally she is within her rights to do so. I just would never do that to my parents.

Yeah I would never do that either. I paid for my own college, and I have 2 degrees. DH has 3 degrees and paid all of the colleges himself. I would be really sad if my son's did this. I think it's just a messed up thing to do.
