That's an interesting third option... I'd say it's the economy though. :shrugs:

I think the key is in the article - in 2007 there was a mini baby boom. It's just natural regulation to the mean. Also, if there were more babies born one year, it makes sense that perhaps people don't start TTC again right away and wait, then maybe deal with fertility problems?

It could also mean that contraception is more widely accessible?
