Cute projects for the babies

I just saw some cute projects on fb that some of our mama's are doing. Erin and Nina posted pics of their babies doing a finger paint project, and I just had to try it out. It turned out so cute. You put a piece of paper in a large ziploc bag and put a couple of different colors on the center of the paper. Seal it up and put it on the high chair for baby to smoosh around. Elijah did it and liked it. He did keep trying to pick up the bag, so we had to hold the edges down.

Then, I saw another project. I think it was Erin. She put little objects in a ziploc bag with hair gel and glitter, zipped it up, and let baby touch and squish and feel different textures. Some of the mama's did it with a water/soda bottle and used water, glitter, and small objects.

What other projects are good for this age? I'm not very creative, but if I see an idea I like, I will try it. If you have done one, please post pics! I'll upload Elijah's paint pic as soon as I can find my camera cord.

I definitely recommend the painting in a bag!! It turned out so cute and she had fun doing it! We used fingerpaints. I also made her a sensory bottle in a plastic water bottle. You fill it with water and add things to it. I did multi-colored pony beads, glitter and sequins. I also made one with different colored dried beans and little pompoms, but no water in that one. :)
I still want to do the hair gel one as well; it looks like it would be fun for her!

I've always wanted to get like a kiddie pool or something, and put a big poster paper in there with some edible paint and put him in there in just a diaper and let him go nuts :-) lol!

That's a cute idea! How do you make edible paint?

When we were in PA, My SIL did a little project for my MIL and us... we painted her left hand and her feet, to make a VE shape - to spell out "love". She didn't finish it before we left, but I'm gonna do this for my parents as well... <3

We bought a kiddie pool and filled it with little plastic balls...you can buy the balls at Walmart and they are $10 for 100 balls. All the kids love it. With Claire we talk about the colors and count and sort the balls, and the babies just play and bang them together so far.

I keep forgetting to mention...BUBBLES! Claire is big enough to blow them, and the babies love to watch and wave their hands trying to catch them. The giggles are hysterical. We do them outside, or if we have lousy weather we do them at bath time.

DD blew bubbles for Elijah and he cracked up laughing. I've never seen him laugh so hard!
