Cricut

I currently have my mom's cricut and i have only one cartridge. i am only interested in alphas what do you think are the best alphs carts?

Honestly I am not all into the cricut (thus the one cartridge) however i do use it a lot as it is quick and easy. Back in the day i used to hand cut all my letters with an x-acto knife. I actualluy enjoyed it. But alas my life of lieasure has been over run with babies.

I really like lyrical letters. Its creative features are all different fonts, so it's got 7 fonts on it.

I've been meaning to pick up the lyrical letters myself. It sounds great.

I have alphalicious, simply sweet, george came with the cricut that I've used alot. I also have some fonts with the other carts, but not used them as much yet. My brain isn't working well right now as I can't remember the names. I can post later what they are.

I'm gonna have to get Lyrical Letters! But since the features are fonts, does that mean you can't do shadows? Because I use a lot of shadows! But I do need a better variety of fonts!

Re: Cricut

you know I have never actually used the shadow feature... it takes twice as much paper that way. ;)

JanessaFaith November 19th, 2010 06:53 PM

Re: Cricut

 Yeah, and twice as much time (as far as cutting and gluing goes), but I like it because it makes the letters stand out when they're on a patterned paper.

Re: Cricut

No you can't do shadows. But the fonts make up for it. I like shadows too, but most of the time I just outline it with a dark marker. lol

I've done that before! I bid on one on ebay last night but I'm sure I've been outbid by now!

Yes i would suggest Alphalicious, i used it all the time when i only had a few carts, Lyrical letters is great too, and so is Zooballoo and it had some cute animal ones too. i like the storybook one too

Re: Cricut

Lyrical letters is nice because it actually has 6 (I believe) fonts on it and they are all nice. I also use my Plantin Schoolbook cart pretty often as it is a nice, basic font imo. I like cuttin up for a lot of my kids pages as I think its a fun font and I also like Don Juan lately, too. For a while I used Alphalicious all the time so I'm a little burnt out on it for my pages, but I still think its a nice font too.
