Crop Challenge #3 - Scrap out of Your Comfort Zone

Challenge #3 is for you to do something you don't normally do. Ideas...

*If you use your cricut almost all of the time then go old school
*If you usually matt your pictures then either DON'T or try double matting or offset your matt
*Use colors that you have had sitting around because you're "just not sure" or you don't like the color (with me it's orange....I have the toughest time using orange, don't know why but I do)
*Instead of embossing, try de-embossing or do either on something for your layout instead of just doing it for a car

The idea is to do something different. And, make sure you let us know what it was that you stepped out of your zone to do.

Another great challenge! I like to do this, it pushes me to be more creative, and I've loved what I've come up with when I've done it.

OK so we can do ANYTHING differnt not just one of your suggestions?

Jess was just giving some suggestions, you can do them or something different, the challenge is for us to push ourselves creatively and create a layout differently then we're used to doing them - Outside our comfort zone. For example, using only black and white only on a page, including the picture, was a challenge I did a year or so ago. That was super hard for me, as I love my colors, but it ended up being one of my all time favorite pages. Or when you used the Cricut Craft Room a while back (another challenge or a Tuesday Technique), and created a banner for a page. That was different for you, you were outside your comfort zone.

Just have fun with it!! I look forward to seeing what we all do with this one.

Thanks Becky! Yep....just push yourself to do something you don't "normally" do. It's a pretty wide open challenge, but definitely a challenge to "step out of your box" or "out of your comfort zone".

So far all of the other challenges I've been doing also "meets" this challenge.

My gallery hop catchup - lifted a great page from Tamara - I used Real Life Photo paper. Those are always hard for me to figure out what to do with.

The Bonus Challenge of cutting up a picture, that's also out of my comfort zone.

and the page I worked on at naptime today and just needs it's title for the Choose a layout to lift challenge, has sewing on the page, also another one out of my comfort zone. I'll still do one by itself that isn't for the other challenges to post in here.

I use my Cricut all the time....even for the smallest thing like cutting a square or a circle so for this page I used other methods. I also used this for the gallery lift challenge :p

That was outside my time zone! When I scrap I don't usually get the computer too!

A few of the challenges are outside my comfort zones too!

Finally getting around to this one. It's been FOREVER since I've scrapped without a sketch or layout to lift. So this one was all me, and it's rather simplistic, but that's okay.

Great page Brittanie!! I love how the title takes up the whole bottom!! I really really like how the page turned out!! I think I may have to scraplift your design if that is okay with you. :)
