A couple of months ago I had this girl come to my house to pick up some stuff I was giving away and we started talking about scrapbooking when she noticed my stuff. Anyway, she told me about how the lady at the end of my street had passed away a few months back and how the family was going to give her a bunch of the lady's scrapbooking stuff. (evidently she was a big scrapbooker). Well, a few days ago I notice that this house has these weird tents in front of their house  They are having a yard sale and guess what they are selling?

...

Yup, you guessed it. All of the lady's stuff. I am kind of creeped out that she has passed and they are selling her stuff. But, I am planning on going over tomorrow after church to see what they have.

That is creepy, but the stuff has to go somewhere.....So what did they have for sale? Did you get any good SBing stuff?

I think if I passed on, I would love to have my stuff go on to someone that loves to scrapbook. Knowing that it will be used the same way I intended for it. So it may be a little creepy, but I am sure she'd rather have you buy it then have these new tenants just pitch it if it doesn't sell.

Well let me just say OMG! :o

I really wish I would have had the opportunity to meet her before she passed. I could have learned so much from her. She had A LOT of stuff. Paper, stamps, ink, stickers, lots and lots of embellishments, felt, foam, fabric, ribbon. You name it she had it. They didn't even have everything out and there was enough stuff to fill a LSS. There were even crafting items: shells, pots, yarn, flowers, etc.

The people holding the sale is the girl I spoke with and her friend. The family were inside I guess.

This is what I got. Most for $15 some things I got for free.

18 sheets of 12x12 paper (9 were free)

Creating Keepsakes book, metal sheets, metal letter embellishments, some homemade embellishments, 2 packs of stickers, large stamp, and shrinky dinks.

There were also some cute scraps that she gave me for my wedding album (the same girl I spoke to in January). And she also gave me some scrap paper as well, about 5 pieces.

They will be there next weekend too she said so I may just have to go back again and see if they have anything new out.

It wasn't creepy until the son came out and started talking to the girls and I (she is friends with the family). I felt like I was rummaging through his mother's stuff. I guess in a way I was but it was really weird.

As somebody that has had to deal with a deceased mother's stuff, it's creepy. We were not allowed to go in her room when we were younger but there my sisters and I were touching her stuff lol.

I'm glad you were able to help them, looks like you got some great stuff.

I understand how you felt but I feel the same, I would hope mine would go on to someone who love sb'ing as much as I do. :-)

Looks like you got some great stuff!
