Question xposted in OCT DDC * updated

What would you do here?
As many of you know I have had 6 losses and am finally pregnant with appears to be a sticky one. I had some spotting over the weekend and it has stopped now, but I am still worried. Also my progesterone was still on the low side despite having them double my supplements. Reg ob likes to take a wait and see approach and doesn't want to do an ultrasound. With six losses, wait and see isnt working for me. I am also seeing a high risk ob, would you call the high risk?

*I called the high risk, my ins says they have to defer to reg ob first for extra concerns. They said to go to reg ob and if they dont do an ultrasound for peace of mind, that the ER is always an option. Going nuts and so frustrated.:brickwall:

The high risk OB would be more likely to give you an U/S, I think. If that's what you want, call them and see if they will do it. If you only had light spotting though, they may not be worried either. Some places are more into reassurance than others, I hope your high risk OB is more sympathetic than your regular one!

I would call the high risk clinic, even just for reassurance. They deal with this kind of stuff more frequently and are more likely to bring you in for an ultrasound to ease your mind.

I agree with the others. I would call the high risk OB and ask for an u/s. If they refuse, try your regular OB again. The fact is, they DO work for you, and should be more accomodating for someone who's had 6 losses. (In my opinion anyways). I hope you can get in and get some ressurance!! :)

I don't understand the use of seeing a high risk ob if they won't see you :(. That is frustrating. I think I would be a very noisy patient with my OB if I wasn't getting seen. Wait and see my ***!!! Ok I am upset for you :). Let us know what happens.

Completly and totally agree!! It's their job to see you and help you. I would continue to call until they got you in! Good luck!!

If insurance is telling you to go to the ER then I would go! They will definitely do an ultrasound. I am so sorry you are going through this. It sounds like they should be jumping at your feet with your needs considering your history.
